And believe me, Floyd came up with Pacquiao's number some time ago. I only wish he calculated wrong. But has he ever made a mistake coming to opponent selection?

That's right, convincing us he is fully fledged Welterweight that can compromise Floyd. Immediately after the Cotto destruction, countless number of posters here confidently predicted he would be the first to inflict defeat on Mayweather. Unfortunately these people seemed to forget the obvious strengths and advantages that Floyd holds, and how these attributes have made him what he is.

I agree with the thread starter, in that NOONE should be surprised if Floyd puts a beating on this the pyhsical disadvantaged Pacquiao. Someone a while ago began a good thread which highlighted who had which advantage in the ring. The responses were overwhelmingly in favour with FLoyd. My ratings were this:

Excellent post Big Bone! Couldn't agree more. The pieces fell perfectly into place for Floyd - he couldn't have dreamed of it better. In the last 18 months, Margarito is labeled as a cheater, Paul Williams loses his '0' and Cotto gets battered by Pacquiao. Over the same time, Pacquiao manages to establish himself as a top welter with insane draw power, allowing Floyd to create the illusion that he's fighting not only the division's best, but the best in the world. Add $40M to it and you have the best possible circumstances for Floyd, who I agree, is too skilled and too smart for Manny. Again - I hope I'm wrong, but my gut tells me that Floyd wins and looks INCREDIBLE doing it. Then, he without question retires on top, and sails into Canastota as a Top 50 All Time Great.

It's not hating. I'm happy the fight is made and giving credit to Floyd's skills. But in this thread, I'm taking the critic's view. If that means I'm a hater, all critics (of literature, film, music, other art forms, politics etc.) are haters too which is quite an idiotic and/or childish thought and does not make it's points invalid.

Can't argue with that, he did choose Winky and Ornelas, smaller men. However, the truth is, Hopkins signed to a MW tournament which ended him facing Tito, what can you do, Joppy did not beat Trinidad, so it was Hopkins-Trinidad for the undisputed title. He didn't choose DLH either, Oscar moved up and got a robbery win, so Hopkins faced Oscar not Sturm for the 4th title, again what could Hopkins do? He made 156 pounds for example, now what? He also didn't choose Pavlik, a bigger guy who had more fights 160+ than Hopkins, instead Arum thought they could lure Calzaghe or get a quality win vs. ol'Popkins. The opponents Hopkins choose were unbeaten #1 MW prospect Jermain Taylor and Antonio Tarver 2 divisions higher. Sorry.

Both are great fighters i dont care how you wanna spin it....PAC is extrememly good at what he does and so is Floyd so come fight night i think it will be a great exciting fight.

I like Pac but WOW, I read a thread on espn and there was a thread where *******s were trying to convince ppl that Pac would beat a 1988 Mike Tyson:yep
