Force him to the ropes, pick your spots, bang away, and back away. The most important part in doing this is making Floyd miss after you back away.

You must make him miss center ring. Don't let Floyd land the jab, or jab to the stomach. Bully him at times meaning when Floyd does get aggressive, trade with him landing anywhere, and back away.

You can't Hatton Floyd, Castillo him or Ortiz him, he's too experienced now. Ortiz has to keep his right hand up. Floyd lands the right, but the left hook is Floyds best punch.

Ortiz has to do this all over again. Peep how Robinson lost to Turpin, how Leonard lost to Duran, and how Tarver attacked Jones in fight one.

Ortiz has to be disciplined to do this or he'll fail!!!

    Need a jab.

You don't want to close distance on a guy who can slip and counter without an effective jab to throw his rhythm off and affect his vision. You'll get caught coming in. I don't mean a flick either, and that bugs me to no-end when boxers paw instead of sticking it in there. I'm talking a hard stiff jab with conviction. He has to respect it or he'll counter right over the top of it. You're not going to go in there and beat a guy like Mayweather by just winging power punches.

A great jab to back him up and neutralize some of that speed and timing is key.

Sad that there are no proper swarmers around at 140-154. Want to see Floyd handle one.

Ortiz won't follow this game plan, but he is a two fisted fighter, so being aggressive the whole fight isn't a bad idea. He'll need a jab to get inside though.

He isn't going to outbox or out think Mayweather, he has to hurt Mayweather in order to beat him. He has to catch him with a punch or punches that weaken Mayweathers legs then jump on him as Mayweather's conditioning is great so his recovery when getting hit is strong as well. So even that is hard since Mayweather will get in defensive mode and recover pretty quickly. Ortiz in that instance can't waste punches but look to attack the body.

Floyd said there is no blue print to beating him, and that if you do beat him, you'll get a lot of green in the future.

Ortiz also falls in to much when he punches and isn't in good defensive position when he throws his punches either. Mayweather slips Ortiz punches he is going to tag Ortiz and tag him hard.

I'm going on the strength that Ortiz won't be committed enough to use the jab, good answer though.
