The growing myth about floyd-maidana I

i liked bowe-coetzer. it was a foul fest, but this time it was bowe doing the fouling.

 

your either a moron or a biased nut-hugger. either way you should not watch or talk about boxing anymore because your un-objective. Maidana easily won the first 4 rounds, and definitely some after that. I like Mayweather, I wanted him to win so bad so he could fight Pacquiao, I watched the fight multiple times because I thought I was crazy thinking Mayweather lost, and I am 100 % positive he lost 7 to 5.

Are you one of those losers who chants back to his incoherent ramblings like "Hard Work" and TBE and all of the other nonsensical stuff he says to hide the fact he is a shy and awkward guy as evidenced by his early interviews? Have you ever heard someone ramble on so much but not say anything at all?

 

to the casual observer it was a very competitive fight... i watched the fight at a packed bar and you could tell so many of the casual fans had floyd losing or edging a decision. not many people realised how ineffective maidanas aggression was and how many of his shots were fouls or simply were not clean..

it was actually a difficult fight to score to be honest so no hate to anyone who scores it diff to me

 

First time i watched it i thought Floyd could lose this (after 7 rounds or so) but it was late (5am in UK). After rewatching it twice i scored it 8-4 both times. Maidana did miss a hell of a lot and should have had points deducted for fouling.

That being said Floyd did look very uncomfortable in there and he didnt fight a good fight. His punch otput was awful by Hopkins standards!! That for me makes this fight intreguing. I also rate Maidana, to some he is a C level bum even though he gave the pound for pound champ his toughest test in years.

 

Take it you aren't going to watch the rematch? I mean why pay for a rematch that wasn't close in the first place.

 

I'm not a big Mayweather fan, but in my view he clearly won the fight. It was a close fight indeed, but after the opening rounds, Floyd adapted and took over the fight. I'll admit it was his worst fight so far and he didn't seem as unbeatable as in other bouts.

The rematch is only made to shut up all the critics. In my opinion it is useless. Maybe if Maidana comes with a different gameplan, but I'm afraid Mayweather will dominate this time.

 

yeh i think floyd was banking on him slowing down ALOT more then maidana did... thats the only reason im even semi interested in thhe rematch.. we rarely see floyd in a rematch.. its his second only rematch and the first 1 he went from almost losing to getting a clear comfortable UD

if he can repeat this process it says alot at the tender age of 37

 

I thought Mayweather eeked it out, in no way did he take over.
Most rounds were close, so in no way, shape or form would I say he took over.

 

To the "***** eyes" , the first six rounds were all for Floyd. They have it 12-0 easy.
