The growing myth about floyd-maidana I

Floyd doesn't think it's a myth or else we wouldn't be having a rematch.

 

It might be worth you looking this up yourself, given that 'magical realism' refers to (in the main) a literary genre, with specific techniques/traits. Or have you knowingly misused the term to somehow perversely legitimise your racial bias?

It seems you couldn't wait to shoehorn these words into the thread; to the extent that you took the first chance you could to blindly infer another poster was Mexican just so you could rattle off your freshly cultivated slant on the "latin-american mindset".

Not nice and easy to see through. Being part of a Mayweather fanboy collective is one thing; using this fandom as a platform to deride other ethnicities and cultures is just plain wrong.

That is the first time I have seen a Vegas ref allow Floyds opponent to fight his fight. He called it straight down the middle an excellent referee. Lets see if Bayless does same I hope so. There is no dirtier fighter than Floyd with his follow through elbow smashes but the flo mos don't see them

 

next time you could discuss how russell was more impressive than loma in their fight, or you could explain to him what floored means.

No one wants Canelo Mayweather 2 because the first fight wasn't close.

Maidana Mayweather on the other hand was close and competitive. There is a credible argument on both sides.

Hence the rematch.

Yet oddly enough both Canelo - Floyd and Floyd - Maidana produced identical scorecards. And all I am simply saying is that both fights were close and competitive. In different ways, but still close and competitive. Honestly, what did Floyd do vs Canelo that was so impressive. He had one great round and I give him full credit for that. But the other 11 rounds he and Canelo fought a very even, back and forth, chess match type of fight.

Here we go with "he must be a mexican" because I agreed with the decision. Your just stirring up controversy for no reason when you know very well what happened. It was a chess match, Floyd himself said as much after the fight, that it was a thinking man's fight.

It was certainly more of a chess match than Floyd vs Maidana or really any other Floyd fight in recent memory. "Floyd walk canelito's ass to the ropes at will" huh? What does that mean? Didn't "Maidana walk Floyd's ass to the ropes at will" also?

Like I said, Floyd had one great round vs Canelo, the 7th. What more can I do than give him credit for that round? But to act like that fight wasn't close or competitive is just silly.

 

Maidana got countered off the ropes...Canelo was not countering Floyd....he was getting hit.

The Mayweather Canelo fight was a one-sided schooling.

ok tough guy, looks you got it all figured out huh. Out of curiosity, how did you score Canelo Lara? How did you score Maidana Floyd?

 

Maidana is underrated as a good fighter and currently would give problems to most of the other top 10 WW, saying that the first fight I feel you can view many ways I can see anywhere from a draw(my fight night score) to a 9-3 Mayweather win(on 2nd view) can't remember which but imo Maidana clearly won 3 rds Mayweather 6 and how you score the other 3 can change the fight.

Someone brought up the Canelo fight and I'm probably in the minority as well I can see 4/5 rds for Canelo in the May fight people were upset because of the style Canelo used but in some rds I thought his bodywork and activity was underrated.

 

You can't trust official scorecards, especially in the big fights where a cash cow like Mayweather is concerned.

Canelo Mayweather was a clear win for Mayweather.

Maidana Mayweather was close whichever way you scored it.
