Mayweather lost a step or he stepped up. Whatever you prefer. Perhaps a combination.

Either way, Guerrero was able to tag him consistantly throughout the fight by slipping his right and landing a left to the body.

Even in round 5, he was having success.

Unfortunately for Guerrero is that he's slow, a slapper, and does not throw crisp combination punches.

He was also weaker than Floyd and manhandled relatively easily.

Karma is a real *****. When you talk all this ****, and then you do the opposite of what you say you're gonna do, sometimes you fight a guy like Cotto for instance, that makes you contemplate retirement.

    http://www.stltoday.com/sports/othe...cle_c88f653a-7d4c-5e2a-a877-b8f8b713ed44.html

And that was a fight he appeared to dominate against a guy that was past his best, and went on to clearly lose and fade late, as is typical, against his next opponent, Austin Trout.

So perhaps, Cotto did better than we all thought. Maybe those shots that didn't land on Mayweather's head had more of an affect than it seemed.

Regardless, Cotto, who's had a tendency to fade, once again faded down the stretch, and Mayweather pulled away.

Fast foward, and Mayweather fights Guerrero. Guerrero a guy that's slow and lacks skills, but was still able to tag Mayweather with lefts to the body.

While it would be hard to give Guerrero more than a round or two, the fact that he was able to be somewhat consistant with that left, means Alvarez who is much faster and more explosive, as well as a combination puncher with a strenght advantage, has a great chance.

And he will beat Floyd. The audience will be shocked.

We can only hope that Floyd's corner throws in the towel before Floyd has that vacant look in his eye.

    The end.

Unfortunately, Mayweather signed up for a beating of a lifetime and only his father can save him now.

And there is nothing anyone can do about it.

    I thought the same thing:lol:

Guerrero landed a little better than JMM's 12% rate.

    ESB, I tell you:patsch

I watched the one you didn't watch.

Watch it again and you'll see Guerrero land that left to the body. Floyd would throw the right, Guerrero would counter with a left.

It didn't always land clean, and when it did, it was inneffective, but that bodes well for Canelo.

And now Floyd will get beat down, and you can write an essay about how Guerrero didn't land that shot on Floyd when he did, and you can even win the pulitzer price and turn it into a movie script and win an Oscar, but you still can't prevent Mayweather from getting a beating on Saturday.

You can see what you want to see, and believe what you want to believe, and you can even wish upon a star, makes no difference who you are...you still can't prevent Floyd from taking a beating of a lifetime.

I used to get called a major ******* (worst attempt at a derogitory nickname ever), so there is no bias when I say this.

I've posted on here for the first time in like 6 months and already know your posts are a load of bollox.

Whatever bro, just prep yourself for the ridicule and humiliation coming your way after the fight when Floyd dominates this guy.

Can Alvarez beat Floyd, well have to wait and see.

However, your post makes no sense.

    1. Floyd was coming off a year layoff, working with his father for the first time in almost a decade.

    2. He was fighting a southpaw

    3. Guerrero is a more accomplished fighter than Canelo at this point, with better competition on his resume as of now.

    4. Once he adjsuted to Guerroro's counters, he dominated.

    5. If he didn't hurt his hand in round 8, he would have defiinitely got the knockout

So Guerro was able to land a left...therefore Canelo will.

Makes sense, especially since Canelo will be throwing it from the southpaw stance when he counters.

I'm not always right with my predictions. For instance, I predicted Angulo would win against Lara.

People laughed and said I was out of my mind. They said Lara wouldn't get touched and would win 12-0.

But what happened? Lara was knocked down twice, and on his way to getting knocked out, but unfortunately I overestimated Angulo's ability to absorb punishment.

    I thought he was Margaritoesque.

I was wrong, but my prediction went exactly the way I thought it would.

I will not be wrong this time. Mayweather will get beat, and that left hook to the body will land.

Guerrero is better at slipping punches and countering with his own than Guerrero.

Canelo can even get hit with a punch and still land the harder counter.

    You'll see.

In the words of that guy that wears a bath robe with a MAC 10.

    "Don't believe me just watch."

people think floyd loses a step because he has a bit of difficulty in the early rounds before he adjusts and takes over, its nothing new floyd does that in almost all his fights

i will say i agree floyd lost a step... well sorta... ortiz fight for me he lost a little bit .. then against cotto (and this may be because of the way he fought or the weight at which he fought) he looked horrible in my opinion... then when he took on guerrero he looked about the same as he did for ortiz (hard to tell because i think floyds performance would have been more dominant had he not broke his hand, though he was getting tagged alot more i feel)

can anyone refresh my mind on if he roger was the trainer for the ortiz fight aswell or was it just cotto?

I know that didn't sound right, but that was in reference to Guerrero being a slapper.
