The guy who hammered Amir Khan in sparring.

    When Roach went to train Chavez, Amir Khan sparred a guy wearing a black T-Shirt and got absolutely hammered. The guy was using Garcia's style. After Amir got his ass whooped he said

    Khan:'it's boring'.
    Tabaress:(His conditioning coach ) I wouldn't care less if it's boring or not, the thing is you have to beat him.When is this guy sparring again?'
    Khan: On Monday
    Tabaress: OK by then Roach will be back so he will give you a game plan

    The thing is Khan got hammered by this guy I've never seen before.

    Does anyone know who the guy in the black T-Shirt was?

    He's never had a pro fight. Also he looks like a light middle. Also I wouldn't say he hammered Khan, but he definitely landed a few, as did Amir

    He never got hammered.
    He was testing himself and trying to use Tabares recommended style of standing there and sitting down on his punches...

    This was very early in camp...

    Roach has put his gameplay and wanted style into Khan now..

    Just shows how easily Khan can be influenced and he can change his style up massivly.

    If Tabares started coaching him then he'd have trouble with fighters he normally would beat

    Shows how good Freddie is in making him do what works best.

    When Chavez went to fight Lee. They showed the video on Sky,he got hammered.

    So 3 weeks after the second Peterson fight was cancelled?

    Tabares and the little filipino guy were looking after Khan for 4-7 days...

    Khan did some sparring which the sky crew filmed...

    Then Freddie came back and trained amir for the remaining 4-5 weeks?

    Nothing to worry about...

    so lets base khans chances on very early sparring footage with a guy in a black t shirt, that sky just showed, all khan was doing was trying a style Tabares wanted him to do
    Hammered ??? I just watched the same thing looked like good sparring to me and things for Amir to work on
    Looked a lot better later

    I was just about to post a simlar thread...

    Dont think he got hammered however he took alot of solid punches which made him look a bit sloppy and it looked at one stage that he was wobbled as he stepped back.

    Silly really should save it for the fight. must admit the other chap looked alright considering he has never had a fight :S

    Khan got hit a few times when his hands were low. Khan hit him with shots too. It was an evenish spar, with Khan probably even edging it. It was not a hammering

    you spar 100's of rounds and someone grabs one video like this where the main guy gets more than he gives....big deal...the goal of sparring isnt to blow your opponents out in a round, its to learn, to try new things, stay sharp ect. muhammad ali was one of the worst gym fighters ever, but didnt mean **** once he got into the real ring

    He got absolutely hammered no doubt.
    Tonight he got hammered even harder, I knew Khan couldn't take this stuff,he's all smoke.
