An overrated fat guy whose fans act like lawyers by staying busy making excuses out of logical fallacies.

I expect there to be plenty who claim Tyson moved like Ali and that was never an exaggeration he just aged out of his ability despite the fact his stylistic change came after Deontay, a man these same people claim is low or no skill, floored him.

I don't know of a single fighter who got more "benefit of doubt" out of refs.

I don't know of a single fighter who repeatedly gets caught with the same issues

In the end, he didn't beat anyone of worth on any all time scale and his best wins are tainted.

Just extremely overrated and I don't think it could have ever been more obvious who was the most protected fighter out of Wilder, Joshua, and Fury. Wilder got the benefit of doubt did he? Joshua? Oh but Fury gets it every 3 fights though. Then again his fans act like lawyer so I don't doubt they'll come in droves with more stupid excuses and peer pressure.

Not high at all. How many other boxers would get knocked down and win a disputed decision against a MMA fighter with zero pro fights?

Perhaps. But you can also say that his one good win in the greater scheme of things, Wlad, was because he catched him at a good time. Would have liked to seen them fight when Wlad didn't have his wife in the hospital, but that didn't happen because Fury, you guessed it, retired.

    He beat Wlad in 2015.

He fought Wilder in 2018, 2020, and 2021.

He was finally deposed as the best in the world by Usyk in 2024, and I think we all agree that it was competitive.

He was basically the best in the world over a period of nearly a decade.

Now I can't shake the feeling that there is a lot of potential missing between 2015 and 2014.

None, but he was lineal in 2015, and lineal in 2024.

I don't see anybody apart from Joshua, who poses a major threat to him over that period.

    Just saying.

But I do think the Wlad win was good, though, so I put him in the 16-20 bracket on the strength of that and a few others. I would have liked a rematch, but there was nothing controversial about the first so in that sense no real need,

That's complete nonsense. You prove yourself the best by beating the best which he didn't do post Wlad.
I can just as easily argue Kabayel was better than Fury all along

For such a big guy who only has had 34 fights he has suffered quite a high number of knockdowns

Win over Wlad was solid but not as groundbreaking as people make out Wlad was nearly 40 and the fight was terrible

Three wins over Wilder isn’t impressive given how one dimensional he is

Then two close but clear losses to Usyk round out the highlights to a pretty underwhelming post Wlad career

If Fury can beat AJ and Dubois which I believe he would then he could potentially crack the top ten or atleast 11-15
