Bert Cooper, Herbie Hide, David Haye, Nate Miller, Jeff Lampkin, Nobert Ekassi... Who is it? Someone else? Discussion and opinions welcome.
Bert Cooper would be my pick I remember McCall speaking very highly about Bert's power had Hide fought at crusier in his prime he might have been the hardest hitter.
Hide had genuine Heavyweight power , so he may carry the heavyest hands in Cruisers.. But Cruiserweight has been around a while.. Holyfield could be an option.. Norbert .. wow .. i haven't thought about him in a long time.. He was trained by Joe Frazier and sadly died after a freak accident at his home ... he was very very heavy handed............
David Izeqwire i heard that he had some major power but sadly had a dead end career. stopped czyz is the only major recollection of him lee roy murphy from memory this guy could bang differently. i have seen his fight in monaco when he drops him an dhis man down at the same time. knokcing him out with a jab or somthing. and a 1 round demolishion of a afribum anaclet wamba ko record does not look like a true banger. but under that record is a long armed boxer looking for you to drop your left hand a bit and launch a jab-cross to the chin that took most guys apart. he has a very high knockdown ratio about 40+ knockdowns. just seemed to get frustrated with himself.
Herbie Hide, definitely. Like people have said.. he even had legitimate power when he moved up to heavyweight.. and I read somewhere that Riddick Bowe even said that he was the hardest puncher that he'd ever faced. Another thing about Hide was he scored a lot of legitimate KOs.. not just TKOs.
"Rubber" Johnny Nelson clearly has this, who else has knocked out Ezra Sellers (apart from Bell, Nwodo, Davis, Garbey, Stewart, Thompson and Seldon)....exactly no one else!!!
Some guy named Rocky Marciano. He had power that ruined opponents, not only for the fight but for the rest of their career.
