Good technique is about combining mass and velocity of course. Ali could do it when he wanted (the fight against Lyle being a excellent exemaple), but he was always careful not wearing hinmself out. But certainly the fact that Foreman was proportioned like a puncher (with massive arms, shoulders and chest) always gave his punches a rare power. Ali was proportioned like a perfect all around athlete (at least in his prime) which made him such a superior fighter (among many other things).

Can't be a coincidence now can it...

I like how you talk about being out of shape and then posting a pic of you drinking a can of coke though. :D

Even when he pulled down the pants of that innocent shopping girl and made a pic, he got out unscarred.

Joe Bugner was bigger than Foreman and Ali. So was Chuck Wepner. But those guys didn't hit that hard. They both had mass and they both had just as much hand speed as Foreman, but they didn't come close in the power department.

Gimmee a break, they were 13 to 19!!!

It used to be a rage. Myself and the mate used to drive out and jump straight into sparring after about 2 mins on the bag. The trainer (a pig catching mate) used to wear down his bigger guys as they were much fitter and plenty more polished than us (with gloves on) so they would have to work hard as we were given free reign to go flat out in short spells and make them dig deep or else. The mate was awesome on the street if he had to be, 200 pounds, unreal eye and awesome power. He had to slow down one spar as he caught the biggest and best of them totally flush and would have put him away if not

Me, i had too much trouble catching the buggers :fire
