    There's the power of a hook and then there's the timing of a hook. Robinson's hook was perfectly timed, rather than simply being a powerful punch

    Or the hook that John Lester Johnson laid on Dempsey that made him avoid colored fighters for the rest of his days.

    That is an impressive feat.

    It's well known Dempsey would not get into a ring with Black fighters.
