I love Terry Norris but the shot that Jackson landed on him gives me this weird satisfaction.. I know it's weird to enjoy my favorite fighter being taken down like that but damm.... he truly was a vicious, concussive puncher..

A lot of those shots were right on the button, and it looked like they never saw the punch coming. Damn, I wish they would have at least checked his gloves.

    Just kidding Hawk fans!!!

When you look closer you realize that he had very good power, but not crazy power. He just happened to have incredible accuracy with his power shots. The accuracy amplifies his really good power. That's how you knock people out with style. He has really really impressive footage.

everytime he would knock someone out as the opponent is going down he has this motion with his hands as if to say "your out for the count"

His power comes from just about impecable body mechanics. His accuracy is a result of his body positioning, his efficiency in very slight upper torso adjustments which leave his opponents WIDE the **** open for his sinister shots. This man is the hardest hitter in the history of boxing pound for pound. When you gauge boxers power, you put them on the HAWK-Scale, with HAWK Power being at 10. Everything else not even coming up to his ankles.... Not even fair to make a Hawk scale to be honest, makes the average puncher look like Malignaggi. And finally, you can't have true power without accuracy. There are plenty of hard punchers that throw wild, they can't knock a fly out.

And if you look at his career, this guy ktfo his opponents with shots at the temple/face/top of the head and any other area aside from the chin, for when he hits the chin its over 10 out of 10 times.

Jackson was an absolute beast. I remember when he fought Graham and knocked him out, herol was knocked out for something like 2 solid minutes. You dont see guys knocked out like that often.

Id rank very few people above him all time p4p. Zarate would be the p4p hardest IMO.

Good call. Plus, whenever Julian is really loading up for a big shot you can see him tensing and corking his body, then turning his torso as he throws so his full body weight is getting into the punch and following it through.

From that video watch Julian's torso, (especially in slow motion) during his KO of Buster Drayton (3rd KO in highlight) Julian ducks the jab, corks his body, unleashes it, and even after the punch lands his body is still twisting slightly to give it the follow through.

In the next KO after that, of Baek, you can see how with each punch he throws, his body is still turning with it after he lands the punch. It's a good way to leave yourself exposed and unable to catch up to a speed fighter, but for a big puncher with accuracy, it's dynamite technique and generates lethal power.

The Herol Graham KO is interesting not just for the shockingness of it, but because of what Julian does just before it happens. He takes a step to his right to draw an angle on Graham, and so he can put all his weight into his right side. Graham comes forward with his left hand low, and Julian is perfectly positioned and has his weight just right so he can whip that right around with power despite the fact that he's moving backwards. The result is devastation when the punch lands.

Dangerous power + accuracy + good punching mechanics = Julian Jackson.
