Zab Judah is a perfect example of the point of this thread.

Tyson told Larry King that Razor Ruddock and Holyfield hit him so hard that he went numb and didn't feel anything afterwards.

I'd imagine if a punch took you from consciousness the punch itself wouldn't hurt. I've never had that, I've taken very big punches that were devasting and painful where it felt like my cheek was about to cave in and it ****ing hurt. After some punches you can suffer headaches and shooting pains for quite a long time too, lasting months.

I tend to think theres two type of punchers, the clubbing heavy handed guys who tend to be slower but when they hit you, they are sore. Then you get the explosive guys who hit you fast and unsuspecting and it sort of buzzes you but dont hurt as hard.

From personal experiance Ive taken a few big punches and I've been hurt the most from a clubbing right uppercut that was really sore and it took a second to recover, abit like Minter in that clip.

Although Ive been in fights where everyone was like you took some really hard shots there, and I thought everyone was talking ****. You watch it back on the video and I took some dallions but was fine, didnt feel a thing.
