Looking for some of the hardest shots you've ever seen and that really stick out in your mind, and the effect that they had when they landed.

Looking for some lesser known ones. Maybe give myself and others some good fights to look for to see these shots.

    ---------------------------------------------------

After Lennox's upset loss to Oliver McCall he started on the comeback trail. One of his victims was the 5'9 borderline cruiserweight Justin Fortune.

Fortune tried to make it a fight, and landed some decent bodyshots... But he was just too small.

The fight ended with a triple uppercut combination from Lewis. Each made it through Fortune's guard with minimal or not resistance. Each one was thrown with this look of rage on Lennox's face, and each one looked like it was going to tear Fortune's head off his shoulders.

    Friggin' brutal.

Shortly after beating James Toney, Roy Jones Jr. fought a fighter who had taken Toney to a SD years before... Merqui Sosa.

In those two rounds the handspeed of Jones let him land unbelievably clean shots on Sosa. Considering Jones was one of the hardest 168 pounders of all time, they were brutal. Jones didn't hold back a thing.

The only time Sosa was done is when Jones didn't his patented leaping hook and basically tackled Sosa over. Similar to what he did to James Toney.

The fight ended with Sosa on the ropes eating punches from Jones that you figure would kill him.

The stoppage resulted in Sosa's corner storming into the ring borderline attacking the ref, and even the commentators were basically disgusted.

"Obviously the ref wasn't aware of how Sosa fights."

His entire fight plan was basically being a punch sponge.

At least Sosa got 7 rounds to work against Charles William's when they were killing one another.

During the Mercer/Morrison slaughter, a slow motion replay of Morrison landing a right uppercut and his patented left hook flush on Mercer was shown.

One of the hardest HW combinations I have ever seen land flush from a known power puncher.

Quite recent, but Cintron's two punch (left hook, straight right) finish against Walter Matthyse was brutal in the extreme. I thought the guy was dead when he hit the canvas.

Say what you will about Cintron, but it can't be denied that he is a massive puncher at his weight.

Alexis Arguello hitting Aaron Pryor's bobbing head with one of the tastiest rights of his career in the 13th round of the first fight.

Has there ever been a time when such a fantastically timed punched has been met with such distain?

A perfect punch and no reaction.

Julian Jackson knocking Herol Graham out cold.

Azumah Nelson on Pat Cowdell who was out for about 10 minutes.

    Hearns on Duran.

Eubank's uppercut that nearly killed Michael Watson.

Probably quite obvious but they were all frightening to see.

The Vincent Pettway KO of Simon Brown, whilst I'm not sure whether it ranks as one of the hardest shots, certainly is one of the scariest.

Felix Trinidad slamming a flush left hook into Yory Boy Campas' face.

Campas' arms go limp and his upperbody slumps down and he's staring at his knees, because somehow he's still standing. Then the ref pushes him back up against the ropes.

Mzukiseni Lengesi vs Luyolo Katiya II

a south african light heavywieght fight against 2 nobodies.

lengesi a real bar room brawler using awkward big shots form many angles especially his overhand right.
Katiya was a cutie he had pretty good technique and had a nice jab and move style he was also a specimen for his long arms and with not a pound of fat on him.

it started out what most thought it was gonna be like. the cleaner more complete katiya out jabbing and out comboing lingesi. lingesi came in to throw a wild left but got caugth with a 1-2-1 that jammed him through the ropes. breaking his nose with the first jab blood pouring everywhere. he was unmoved mentally as he got up wiped his gloves he released a huge booming overhand right snapping katiyas head back sending luyolo down like when drago hit apollo for the fatal punch. almsot doing the worm. whiping his face full force intot the canvas. so hard was this fall that it was audible over the heavy screaming of the capacity crowd.

katiya got up barely wobbling all over the place, surprisingly the ref let it go on crazily to which katiya got knocked into the ref again.
blood pouring from lingesi's nose staining both there trunks to a grim colour, he charged with a swinging right hook that was gonna knock down trees it was gonna knock down a building it was gonna destroy a sherman tank.

katiya with all the sense he had left was to launch his left jab.

    :yikes :yikes :yikes :yikes :yikes

this jab that katiya throws lands on lingesi's exposed jaw was so solid it made his mouth guard fly like a boeing 747 into the camera, the jab was so precise it exploded on lingesi jaw and nose spurting blood all over the stadium all over the trunks all over the ref who's green jacket is turned to a shining purple...

lingesi spins with the foreward inertia of his right hand to the floor asleep. the ref even counted:lol:  couldnt believe my eyes.

it was on kotv not that long ago it was the greatest one punch i have ever seen....coming from a jab also didnt just shock and amaze i have it on my digi box and reminds me that oscar-pacman fight could draw millions around the world but only this punch can be seen by a few thousand people and most will say it was a great fight

........This one freaked me out when I saw it live; I'd never seen an unconscious man throw punches before.

    Some memorable ones:

Ruddock vs Dokes. If Dokes weren't such a waste of a human being, I might feel sorry for him. As it is, **** Dokes.

Tua vs Ruiz. The last shot when Ruiz is on his way down is really scary, especially if you see a version where they show the replay in slow motion. Also, the last left hook from Tua vs Izonreiti/Izon.

Arguello vs Rooney. As perfect a counter as you will ever see. Also that right hand shot by Arguello in round 13 vs Pryor.

Hearns vs Duran. I'm sure we've all seen this one before.

About half the shots in the last round of Gatti vs Ruelas, but particularly the last counter left hook.

Marciano Vs Walcott. It doesn't get much better than that.

    Walcott knocking out Ezzard Charles
    . Perfect and vicious shot.

Joe Frazier knocking Ali down in the FOTC.

Joe Louis vs Buddy Baer, pretty much every shot Louis hit him with in this clip could qualify, but the last one is a real killer. Out before he hit the floor.

Note, if you can't see it, pretty much all of the times where I put A vs B is a link to the footage.

The first right hand landed by Emile Griffith against Parrett that rocked him and set him up for the life-ending finish. It landed with a sickening thud.

Joe Frazier's left hook against Quarry in their second fight. Quarry was on the ropes, Frazier jabbed a couple of times then BANG. I can't believe he was still standing after it.
