The last crop of US HW's that most Americans trashed like Thompson, Byrd, Brewster, Brock were talented killers compared to the clown show the US has to offer the division currently. lmao Just checked and saw that G.Jones, BJ Flores, Oquendo are all top 10 rated HW's. Are you serious right now.

Just saw Zhang Zhilei is 19-0 now. He did that quietly.

There's been better fights in the last two years than there has been in 10 years during the post Lewis era wasteland.
Imagine Sam Peter being ranked top 3 today? :risas3:

Todays era is thankfully erasing the last eras horrible existence out of the history books. In a few years nobody will even remember it. :baloon:

Sam Peter would annihilate some of the "talent" around today. Don't make me laugh.

Joshua, Wilder, Fury, Whyte, Parker, Ortiz, Povetkin, Usyk, Gassiev ( potentially )... doesn't seem that bad only
when you want to see it that way, but in every generation you can find negative aspects on some fighters. Really this generation is better than the 80s and the 2000s, it's not that bad.

Ring Magazine Top 10 2004

Vitali Klitschko-Champion

1. Chris Byrd
2. John Ruiz
3. Hasim Rahman
4. James Toney
5. Monte Barrett
6. Andrew Golota
7. Fres Oquendo
8. Jameel McCline
9. Corrie Sanders
10. Lamon Brewster

Ring Magazine Top 10 2018

Vacant-Champion

1. Anthony Joshua
2. Deontay Wilder
3. Alexander Povetkin
4. Joseph Parker
5. Luis Ortiz
6. Dillian Whyte
7. Dominic Breazeale
8. Jarrell Miller
9. Adam Kownacki
10. Tyson Fury

Almost every Top 10 fighter today is significantly better than any top 10 fighter in 2004.

Vitali Klitschko had just smashed Sanders who obliterated WK! Joshua just went life & death with a WK who had more wrinkles on his ball sack than Gordon Ramsey!

Byrd & ***** tits Toney would school Wilder!

& both Povetkin & Ortiz are so old they are both undergoing hormone replacement due to the menopause!

Sanders smashed a pre-prime Wlad and did nothing since. Vitali and Wlad were the only good fighters in the
2000s, today's era is far superior.

Joshua and Wilder would demolish every top 10 fighter from Byrd to Brewster.

Tyson Fury would outbox anyone.

Povetkin and Ortiz would be favored over anyone.

Whyte and Parker are the same level as the best contenders from the 2000s.

Breazeale and Miller are the same level as the average contender from the 2000s.

It's not head and shoulder above that era, but i agree. Even if you made the counter argument it would be via slim margins.
And we have a promising up and coming crop as well.
And most of all, we have been getting exciting fights.

Picking your dates. Let's look ten years back. 2008 vs 2018

2008:
1. Wladimir Klitschko
2. Vitali Klitschko
3. Ruslan Chagaev
4. Alexander Povetkin
5. Nikolay Valuev
6. Sultan Ibragimov
7. Samuel Peter
8. Oleg Maskaev
9. Juan Carlos Gomez
10. Alexander Dimitrenko

This is MUCH better talent than what we have today.

2018:

1. Anthony Joshua
2. Deontay Wilder
3. Alexander Povetkin
4. Joseph Parker
5. Luis Ortiz
6. Dillian Whyte
7. Dominic Breazeale
8. Jarrell Miller
9. Adam Kownacki
10. Tyson Fury

Fury has done nothing since 2015. Jurys still out..

& Joshua nearly got smashed by a DEAD Wlad!

& both Povetkin & Ortiz are so old they are both undergoing hormone replacement due to the menopause!

Byrd would make Wilder look silly! Exactly WHO has Wilder fought to suggest such he'd beat Byrd, a slick southpaw defensve whizz? Byrd would make Wilders already inept bum killing technique look so amateurish Wilder would probably try to kill the referee out of frustration!

Eh, How exactly ? It's equal at best and besides Vitali and Wlad the only good fighter from 2008 is Povetkin who
had his best years in the 2010s and not the 2000s.

Chagaev and Peter were solid contenders at Whyte and Parker level at best.

Valuev, Ibragimov, Maskaev, Gomez and Dimitrenko nice joke.
