These points are true. He did give those top fighters all they could handle...

I am not one to say Taylor's a bum. I never said that.

Taylor was a very good fighter, who lacked killer instinct and that extra grit that separates the greats.. But he would have given anyone hell in the middle division a few years ago..

I don't see why anyone would call JT overrated or a hype job, he beat and drew with the two best middleweights at the time.. And these weren't just good fighters, one is an all time great and the other was almost one..

JT was a street fighter that fought for praise at the local barbershop.

He's the Kimbo Slice of Boxing.

barbarshop fighters give bhop that hard of a fight?

    **** kimbo slice.

see...this is the **** im talking about. a man gives his all against the best. the very best...and he catches hate for it.

this is the former undisputed undefeated mw champ of the world. the same title that many famous fighters have held and he took it from at atg hof'er.

    respect should be given....

You don't get respect for RAZOR THIN DECISIONS, when they expect BHOP to retire and they want to ride the coat tails of the next best thing.

Arthur Abraham and Kelly Pavlik sent him back to the barbershop for a new fade.

BHOP destroyed Pavlik and Dancing with the Stars Andre Dirrell showed what Abraham is really about.

bhop to retire? the hell are you talking about? he promised his mom he wouldnt fight after 41. had nothing to do with this fight.

if you want to talk about weight...fine. mackie shilstone said he couldnt believe hopkins was still a mw w/ the amount of road work he had to do. but that doesnt matter...

bottom line...if jermain is really that bad, he doesnt give hopkins that hard of a fight twice. that is disrespect for a guy who would fight anyone.

if you are a true boxing fan...you know damn well you want fighters like taylor who will fight anyone. to say otherwise is bull****. you want fighters who will say **** it bring it on. taylor did. he could have pulled an amir khan (no disrespect to him) and fought light fisted guys but he didnt. he got right back in there w/ kelly, froch, and aa. who does that today?? who??

I am a true humanitarian and believe that the big screen at the barbershop is not the Hall of Fame podium.

He's sitting at his big home that Bhop gave him still thinking he's a top level fighter. Kelly Old English 800 Pavik beat him twice. Bhop destroyed Pavilk... do you see any flaws in your argument? He got gifts, like Cotto vs. Moseley.

you are missing the point of the thread. the point is he deserves respect...not that he's an atg.

kelly doesnt **** w/ OE btw.

I like JT as a person from watching those specials but I watched him when he had Emanuel Steward training him. He couldn't get the school yard / hood out of him. He never became a professional like Andre Ward...

He was a more polished Kimbo...

pat burns was his ticket. steward did nothing except underestimate kelly pavlik. in fact steward laughed at kelly prior to the fight.

polished kimbo slice's don't give the p4p #1 and the p4p #3 a helluva fight. if that's all jt was then bhop and winky woulda made him look worse then they made tito look. but they didnt :think you are gonna say taylor was given those decisons. but why couldnt they make jermain look foolish like they did tito?

Tito was fighting for money and fighting off of past glory.

JT was young and strong fighting older fighters. JT wasn't bad but he's just a blip on the championship radar. If Kelly Pavlik beat him twice.... that's says a lot about his skill level.

how many rounds did joppy last w/ both bhop and jermain? and how many did he last w/ tito?

no one who beats bhop is just a blip on the radar. for better or worse, jermain has his place in history. on of only 5 fighters to win the real mw title undefeated...beat the man who was the man.
