I blame stewart for trying to turn everybody into a boxerpuncher Thomas Hearns. Roach takes a style and polishes it, Stewart tries to change them all together. The swarming physicallity was never suited to a patient long range boxing style that Jermain tried to use, he needed to impose that beastly strength all the time. I feel like his natural style was stymied by Stewart. I know its bad to blame a trainer when clearly the fighter has some flaws in general despite their success, but he wants to change everybody too much, (like Oscar trying to use the shoulder roll late in his career (obviously not related to stewart) - it just did not look natural. Taylor's style really altered after Stewart).

Very true. I never liked Taylor because of the first Hopkins fight, but the man has had a hell of a run. Fought the best and even in his most devastating losses was ALWAYS competitive. ALWAYS. His body just failed him. Hell I don't think he was EVER behind on the cards in a fight he lost. JT left it all in the ring.

I agree. I also believe Ozell Nelson was Jermain Taylor's worst enemy. It was personal **** between Nelson and Burns that lead to changing trainers.

Steward knew Pavlik well from the amatuers. Never liked him, and never had any respect for him. Steward completely dismissed the idea that Pavlik was a threat, and we saw what happened!

After that Nelson turned right around and instructed Jermain to engage in a jabbing contest with Kelly Pavlik even though he saw KP out jab JT in the first fight. I do not care what anyone's personal opinion of Pavlik is. It ain't rocket science to figure out you don't get into a jabbing contest with Kelly ****ing Pavlik!

It was Nelson who told JT "you need the last two rounds BIG" in the Froch fight. Even though Jermain was comfortably ahead, he went out in the 11th and went to war with Froch. I thought he won the round, but it left him with a completely empty gas tank.

I've watched all the relevant fights numerous time. With Pat Burns in his corner Taylor does not lose to Pavlik or Froch, and he sure as hell does not come in looking shot to **** and lose to Arthur the can killer! The Taylor-Burns split was Nelson's fault.

Jermain's last 10 fights were against guys who were current, recent, or future world titlists at the time. Among them you will find an all time great, a sure fire hall of fame inductee, a monster who had a 90% KO ratio, and two guys who are guaranteed to make the semi finals in the super six. I said it before, and I'll say it again: **** THE HATERS!
