ahh yes I agree wieght played SUCH A CRUCIAL role in Hatton walking straight in to a perfectly timed and perfectly executed left hook that KTFO .... i mean it had NOTHING to do with Floyds other world boxing skills, perfect technique and uncanny sense of timing eh? ...and it had nothing to do with the fact Hatton lost his composure and walked towards floyd thinking he had him cornered only to find out the Floyd is basically a genius in the ring .... yes your right thanks for clearing that up for the rest of us whom were watching the fight with our eyes closed....
You developing yourself by working out and staying in shape Floyd does year around not drinking and adding 40 lbso fat between fights... You can't use the weight issue...Hatton does not have the skill of Floyd...
well true floyd made 130...but do you think that floyd can make 130 again...every fight ricky blows up we all know this but it's not for boxing that he is fat. for god sake it's not like he is fighting at cruiser or anything. ricky i think could make lightwieght but with his diet he isnt goign to do it... it takes him what 4 months to get his metabolism going:shock:.
please man he struggled to make that why do you think in the ams he was going to go up a class. at 130 he was the shiznet he brutalised corrales and truely dominated the division with no need to fight the other titlists becuase he had A) already beat them B) wernt anythign of a threat but was just as drained as most 5'8 130 pound fighters are. i think 147 is now floyds prime wieght becuase he has built on it he is lean at welter at light middle he was still compact. but at light-welter and light he had that slight anorexic look.
Marciano was generally much shorter in height and arm than his opponents. Tyson was exposed because he parted ways with pretty much everything that stablized him and his life went out of control prior to Douglas. Remember that big balloon with a couple ounces of water in it that they were trying to reduce eye swelling during Douglas. WTF was that? Nice corner work!
The man said Ricky Hatton would knock out any lightweight in history -- and you guys are picking on his argument about weight?
here mate, how about you shut the **** up!he lost because his skill level is ****?yea good one, damn pbf must be pretty bad if it takes 10 rounds to knock him out.hatton only became 'dumb' after round 6 when he was pretty much ass raped by the ref and floyd simply destroyed him from there, yeah hatton won rounds against floyd because hes real dumb, you make yourself look more and more pathetic everytime you try and call hatton **** when in reality he was the most awkward and tricky fighter floyd has fought in years!i guess tszyu must be **** aswell?he got beat by an unskilled ******!
Agreed. Ricky held the temporary advantage over Floyd when he lost the point in round 6. His efforts were very good - but ultimately came up short. There is no shame in the fine performance he put on. The result can be seen in what he helped bring out of Floyd. Props to both men are due.
Hatton applied great pressure he maybe landed three or 4 significant shots on Floyd....other than that...this fight was clear as day as to who would win on cards....Hatton provided a great exciting fight but he did nothing to really win the fight but make it a rough fight. neither Floyd or Hatton body wise belong at Welter but what makes Floyd able to fight at that weight is his ALL AROUND fight game....both have great skill but Hatton is limited as a fighter he is not all around and that is why his size plays such a big role in his fights. i dont believe you can knock either fighter on this i mean GREAT fighters are able to move up in weight especially since its only 7 pounds....in the older days there was no junior welter so you HAD to fight the bigger fighters and they did just fine.....we can't start throwing the weight issue around unless its ridiculous but this fights was even as far as weight and size botha re small fighters naturally when they get in the ring nevermind walk around weight.
