Hatton walks around between fights at 175. He started his career at 2 wieght classes above Mayweather. Mayweather has only fought 4 fights above 140. Only 3 at 147 including against Hatton. floyd would be faster at 140. Giving him more of an advantage.

So whenever a Hatton huger or Floyd hater makes this excuse. just realize they dont know **** about boxing. Just look at Jose fm's posts. A big time moron.

If this thread is about Hatton's weight, why are all the Joy fanboys bringing up Floyd's weight?

    Didn't I posted that yesterday?

    It's not only LAME . . . it's unacceptable because it's too late.:D

Check how many threads were opened that says Hatton is gonna K.O. PBF; Hatton's gonna make PBF quit on his tool etc etc before the fight happened.

When Hatton was in the ring with Mayweather he looked considerably smaller, not just in height, but thickness as well. That shows he's a natural 140lb fighter, because Mayweather isn't exactly a full blown welterweight.

I'm pretty sure anyone with decent eye sight could see the difference when they were in the ring. Not a David against Goliath scenario, but clearly a size advantage for Mayweather.

Hatton weighed 154 fight night against Floyd.

Thats EXACTLY what he weighs as a Jr Welterweight on Fight Night.

Mayweather could maybe make 140lbs, but he would struggle in my opinion. I would say when both Hatton and Mayweather come into the ring in perfect physical condition there is a division between them both.

Forget about Hatton walking around at 180lbs. Thats not natural for an athlete. If everyone drank and eat like Hatton then Mayweather would walk around at 190lbs and Hopkins about 215lbs.

Mayweather keeps himself in shape between fights, howevever Hatton's the opposite. Hatton makes 140lbs easy, which shows his walk around weight aint natural.

Floyd's weight means nothing when discussing Hatton's best weight.

Look, I would pick FLoyd to beat Hatton at any weight, but you can't deny some guys move up in weight better then other. Hatton obviously does not belong @ 147.

    :patsch

I guess Vinny Paz is more skilled then Floyd since he moved up more weight classes. I guess DLH is more skilled as well...he started where Floyd did, but fought @ 160 at least.

Ricardo Lopez must be pretty unskilled then...according to you criteria.

Moving up in weight has more to do with body type then skill.

Did those two move up, and continue winning titles without losing? Anyone can move up in weight, truly skilled fighters are able to move up in weight and still be effective.

The night of the fight, Mayweather won’t exceed the 150 lbs., while Hatton has said that he will probably be 154: “Also, for Mayweather, I’ll get in the ring at the weight I fight best at, around 11 stone”. That is 154 lbs. Hatton’s extra weight in the Collazo fight –more than six unnecessary pounds– gave him strength, were useful in the clinches, but affected his speed, his reflexes and athleticism.

That was his estimation for him on fight night against Mayweather, not as a light-welterweight on fight night. What Hatton means is the weight he will fight best at meaning, the best weight he'll fight at as a welterweight.
