mayweather and hatton were the same size in the ring...hatton has thick strong legs and you can say all of his opponents are larger then him then even at 140...like tsyu who is bigger then floyd as well....he LOOKS bigger if that is what we seem to be getting at...what about Urango...lol.....Look how ODH looked against floyd...not only did he look bigger he had him by about 15 pounds easy...

Listen. Because Hatton walks around at 180lbs doesn't mean he's naturally bigger than Mayweather. What would happen if Mayweather drank Guinness and eat fatty foods, he probably blow up even more. Hatton walks around at 180lbs, yet makes 140lbs no problem. Has made that weight easily for years.

Tell me this. If your telling me Mayweather aint naturally bigger than Hatton, then why when they both shared a ring did Floyd look bigger, not just in heighht, but overall thickness. Across the shoulders, waist, and chest.

He said: "When I fight at 140 I normally get in the ring about 152. But against Luis Collazo I think I came in about 158, 159. I tried to make myself as big as him when really I wasn't.

"And so I think I'm going to come in on the night at the weight that I perform best at in the ring, and that will be around 152lbs."

Weight on fight night is everything..if both are 150 on fight night they are even..but if this is a margarito or baldomir fight and one guy is 147-150 and the other is 157-160 that is another ****ing weight class difference...if you cant see that **** you are dumber then you probably look.

The weight they walk about between fights means little considering their lifestyle. Hatton's a natural 140lb fighter, period. If your saying Mayweather walks around at 150lbs, then surely he could make 130lbs. Nope. Not true as you well know.

When Bernard Hopkins fought as a middleweight, he walked around between fights at no more than 166lbs. Thats what you call keeping yourself in shape.

Mayweather is naturally bigger than Hatton, no two ways about it.

What you say is true, but since Floyd's chances against Williams, Cotto, and even Clottey dont look to good IMO, i dont think Floyd is a true WW either. I guess he's between a Jr WW and WW while Hatton is a true Jr WW. So two or three pounds wouldnt of made a difference if Hatton had more skill than May which he didnt.

Yes, both guys did to a degree. But that's not what topdog said...said it's about skill. It takes more then skill to move up successfully.

Look, I know what this is, another thread to kiss up to Floyd and put down Hatton basically. But you guys cannot deny that fact that Hatton is not a WW.

Thats why he spend most of his career making the 130 limit while hatton was fighting at 140. Grow a brain and get a ****ing clue...Mass is what it is .....Tsyu looked bigger then Hatton...... you know why...b/c he has broad shoulders...hatton does not have broad shoulders but freakishly strong legs and thighs.....he is just shape DIFFERENT DUMB ASS......they are the same ****ing size but not the same shape...you dumb ingnant ******....somebody help me here..:rofl

So what? You said moving up is about SKILL...and both Vinny Paz abnd DLH moved up more weight classes then Mayweather has.

You didn't say DLH was more skilled, but you implied it since DLH HAS moved up more then Floyd. Don't backtrack now...or at least don't make these proclimations like using "SKILL" as a reason for moving up. It's more about body type then skill.

Look, every fighter has limits on what weight he can move up to.

Your post was so imature and silly beyond belief. No need for you to loose the head and resort to name calling. Well, that just hows me your intelligence, not just in general, but your boxing brain as well.

And to awnser your question, you know zero. Absoulute zero. Mayweather is naturally bigger but keeps himself in shape between fights. You said Hatton coming down from 180lbs had to dry out. Its not natural, its keeping out of shape badly. He had to lift weights to build himself up to welterweight. Not my opinion, a fact.
