Hatton for me, because Cotto looked like a skeleton at the press conference of that fight, and looked weight drained and lethargic during the fight. Hatton would be too much for that version of Cotto. It was his last fight at 140 and he looked infinitely better in his next at 147.

Even at that stage I think that Cotto would be too much for Hatton. Hatton is a very big and physical 140 pounder who bullies other fighters around the ring. He wouldn't be able to do that against Cotto. I'd say Cotto by late stoppage at 140 and mid rounds stoppage at 147.

Cotto in that fight wasn't 100% but you gotta note that Malignaggi's performance with Cotto was a lot better than what he did with Hatton.

Hard to say but I'd pick Cotto by late stoppage.

Cotto is the superior fighter, regardless of weight.

Cotto would beat Hatton obviously Hatton would have more chance against the Cotto at 140 but i still feel Cotto is far superior and beats Hatton but at 147 Hatton gets a brutal beating imo.

it would be a fun fight to watch while it lasted but with ricky's defense i think he gets hit way too much by cotto. MC by late stoppage.

would have been the best matchup if neither fighter lost their respective fights in Floyd and Margarito.

I was waiting for this matchup for years...
