Even IF Pac wins, which is possible, it's not going to be a brutal KO. Hatton has a very solid chin.

First of all I'm a fan of pac and I'm still a bit sore at how Hatton was allowed to wrestle the crown away from Kostya (pun intended there) with his holding and rough-housing.

So I would like to see Pac defeat Hatton (who, since losing to Floyd, has NOW said he will never lose at 140).

    Will that happen ?

Perhaps, but it's far from certain.

I picked Oscar to defeat Pac but gave him a 60/40 chance and did not call it a one-sided brutal KO as many did.

(Had I known that Oscar was coming into the fight at 146 on fight night, I would have probably made a different call. He gave up his weight advantage)

So, I don't put as much stock in Pac's victory there as some do. It was a great win how ever you want to spin it, but it doesn't have predictive value for future Pac fights.

E.g. A while later, in a fight I correctly called in advance, Mosley destroyed Margarito.

Mosley came into the Ring at 160, where Oscar SHOULD have been, and that version of Mosley would probably have destroyed the Pac who faced Oscar.

So, now to the Hatton bout.

Ricky will enter the Ring at around 150. Pac at around 145.

Ricky is stronger than Pac and more durable and stronger than the Oscar that Pac faced.

Pac is slightly faster than Ricky, and much more skilled in overall movement.

But his defence can be questioned and he has been stopped before on body shots and Ricky has stopped opponents with those very shots.

Pac has steadily improved with each of his recent outings, and looked masterful against Diaz.

But Hatton has a tendency to brawl (and fight dirty) in close, and take away his opponents game, while imposing his own will.

So at this point, I am close to 50-50 on the outcome of this bout.

Much will depend on how it is reffed.

At this point, I would probably lean 51-49 in favour of Hatton, but I need to think more about it and make a prediction closer to fight-night.
