Step too far for Oscar; would be winning rounds until the KO lands at some point. Jackson could be very patient and persistent at his best.

    Hoya is better skilled.
But he'd be walking thru the litteral minefield against J.Jackson...
One misstep, one laspes on concentration and "bang" it could be over for him with a ko loss.
What would make J Jackson so dangerous against Deloyhoya is the speed and compact explosiveness of his punches .
Jackson needed little space to get power in his punches because of his technical ability.
And that's where I believe J Jackson would eventually catch him with something and stop him late.
After losing the early rounds and a cautious Hoya cruising to a lead behind his jab.
The misstep would happen. Hoya had a tendency of losing concentration as a fight dragged on, getting hit with shots he shouldn't get hit with.
    A dangerous mistake against Jackson.
Unlike Trinidad who could get predictable, I don't believe Hoya would be able to out maneuver Jackson for 12 rds.
Hoya eventually makes the misstep, zigs when he should've zapped.
    Gets stopped in 10 rds.

Emphasis on, “mistake” from De La Hoya, because Jackson isn’t nearly good enough to win this fight on his own ability. There is no reason to think De La Hoya would get careless, & assuming he doesn’t, he’ll win this.
