IF David Haye had fought Wilders first 40 opponents in order, would he also have been able to put together a 40-0 resume with 39 KO’s and be spoken of as an ATG puncher? And in this parallel fantasy universe, how would Deontay of faired starting off as a cruiserweight and fighting his way along Hayes career projectile?
Wilder would’ve lost at cruiserweight, would’ve been like a skeleton or are we assuming he’s ok at the weight? He’d have been splattered by Wlad, probably would’ve put valuev down if he didn’t break his hands first. Chisora, at that time, is tough to call but probably catches him. I don’t think Haye would’ve managed 40 fights with his injury record but yes, I reckon he could’ve ended up with the same record.
With Haye’s training regime and body. There is no way he had 40 professional boxing fights in him. When you look back at his career he spent 2.5 years of it pulling out of fights, through injury before his first retirement. He likely break downs at some point and gets beaten. Wilder would struggle at CW for different reasons. As there is less money he wouldn’t be able to get away with such poor opposition, for such a long time. Had he followed Haye’s path then he takes 2 losses along the way. Most likely 2 losses from the Thompson, Mormeck and Fragomeni fights. Thompson and Mormeck are bad style match ups for him.
Haye can beat everyone Wilder did but I don't know if he could do 40 fights as his style was extremely explosive and wore on his body. Wilder loses to Klitschko, Chisora and maybe even valuev
A fully fit Haye beats all of Wilder’s opponents (except Fury) But he wouldn’t have 40 fully fit fights and camps in him
Quite possibly. Anyone who KO's that many people and ices someone tough like Breazeale so easily is likely to have those discussions made around them. Only one of them bothered to show up and actually fight Fury, mind.
1. Yes Haye have destroyed Wilder's hamd picked opponents. 2. No, Wilder just doesnt have the required skillset.
