the heat tyson gave lewis in rd 1 would have stopped Wladimir?

I've grown to appreciate Wlad's reign and the legacy he is creating but let's not get carried away here.

Tyson would have gotten to Wlad and would have subsequently taken him out.

See those three uppercuts in a row after the first tyson assault.

Thats the difference between lewis and Wlad. He can not only throw more than two punches, and look world class when he does.

Wlad would of handled Tyson handily. The only two HW'S i can honestly see that would have given Wlad problems are Holmes and Lewis. The 'prime Tyson' talk on this site is unreal....its the kind of **** i expect to hear from my mates (all casual boxing fans) down the pub.

Agreed +1... I almost forgot how aggressive tyson was in the first round of this fight. Lewis made it through using a combination of versitile punching( uppercuts, jabs, hooks and crosses) and excellent footwork( stepping in when necessary as opposed to just running). With that being said, that was still a fraction of what tyson was in his prime. Im convinced a prime tyson decapitates kiltchko every time, and the version that fought lewis has a good chance to land one shot that wins him the fight. As good as klit is, he is still a basic jab , jab, cross fighter. When he is pressured, he backpeddles (boardline running, i watched him take off and turn his back twice when he fought haye), i could see him getting caught with a crazy hook just like he did a few times when he fought david haye. Difference is, haye is no tyson, he is not a natrual pressure fighter, and he doesnt have the power tyson posseses either.

Bad matchup for kilt, mike slips his jab and knocks him the **** out. He doesn't mix up his punches well enough, and fights way to scared. Mike ko in less then 3.

The Tyson that fought Lewis wasn't a prime Tyson. Still, prime Lewis was better than prime Tyson. It's a very interesting fantasy matchup though.
I don't know if this version of Tyson whups Wlad that easily, but prime Tyson certainly does.

The Klitschko haters must be really hurting over Wladimir's big win against Haye! I've never seen so many Klitschko hate threads.:-(
Look, Wladimir is the best and there's nothing anybody can do about it.:good

That's that not saying much. I rarely post in these forums, but i read them all the time. People spend more time talking about past heavyweights then the present. That's how pathetic it is. I doubt the majority of people even care enough to hate, they are just posting their opinion.

And to be honest, it has nothing to do with klitchko, people are just sad at what the heavyweight division has become. up until recently it had always been the most exciting division throughout boxing history, big athletic men showing off a variety of boxing skills + the anticipation of knowing that with men their size, it could all end at any moment. Nothing could compare. As it is now, we have a couple of super heavyweights dominating a bunch of medicore men who lack the talent to make up the difference. The fights used to be more exciting, the fighters more diverse. Now all the athletic big men play football or basketball. It just plain sucks.

    This is getting ridiculous now.

The Tyson that fought the likes of Mcbride and Danny Williams would struggle against Wlad but the Kevin Rooney trained Tyson would have slipped Wlads jab and knocked him out within 6 minutes.

That version of Tyson was totally cooked, but it does still show how he can get inside easily and a giant tall man.

I think the prime version of Tyson would make it a little embarassing for Wlad, a KO early.

As to the post prison one, it's a closer sort of a fight, the Tyson who lost to Lewis could well lose to Wlad I think.

It wasn't a big win in pure boxing terms.
