By all means, Wlad should dominate this time. Peter very well could pull a major upset, but I doubt it. Compare Peter/Chambers and Wlad/Chambers and that should be a good gauge for this fight. Sorry Forty, but your boy is going to have to land a perfect shot to get Wlad out of there, but it can happen.

Haye-Wlad would be big internationally. People in America would be watching too.

In my area, EPN deprtes is only available if you order the Spanish language package...I already pay for like every English channel available. I'm not going to pay extra for a bunch of spanish channels that I'll never watch. My spansih is not that good. As a side note, EPSN deportes is the only ESPN station that costs extra. Yet, FOX sports spansih comes with the regualr package. I swear the televsion gods hate us boxing fans!

Blame HBO. They are too cheap pay for the fight. There is plenty of buzz in the air, but not much in North America.

I prefer the card HBO is showing over the HW fight. And the HBO card isn't even that good.

Aint that the truth. Dont blame HBO, their a business. The last exciting fight Wlad had for HBO was against Calvin Brock back in November of 06. Since then he's fought mostly stiffs and overweight contenders. The last big fight Wlad had, that had any type of buzz was against Iggy. We all know how that one turned out.

Im looking forward to the fight, but thats only cause I hate Wlad and like Peter. America as a whole don't even know who either fighter is, let alone it's a heavyweight championship fight. The 90's are over unfortunately, the division is no longer in the spotlight in the states.

think Haye vs Wlad is the biggest HW and if it happens there will be huge interest. can't think of any other big fight in HW, though there are some nice match ups like Vitali Adamek.

It would be big in Europe. Huge in Europe. It wouldn't be big in America. It would be just another fight. Casual fight fans in America have a vague idea about who the Klitschko are...they have no idea who David Haye is. And who can blame them? He's hasn't made any effort to get on American TV or to fight in the States.

Actually, 8 out of his 9 title defenses have been against 1 ranked fighters. So, he's fighting the best guy that are out there.

I wasn't aware of that. It certainly doesn't cost extra in my area. I guess you'll have to sign off at 4:30 and wait til tomorrow to catch the replay. I only hope it's worth it.

I halfway agree. On one hand I do concede that they are not the most exciting fighters on the planet. But on the other hand, if HBO wants to continue to promote itself as a great boxing network they should show important fights. That means not wasting their supposidely exiguous boxing budget on infomercials like the 24/7 series that are used to promote their pay per view bouts. I pay to watch fights, not commericals for fight from a non-commerical network.

I don't know why alot of people say VK/Adamek is a good matchup. Vitali will club the **** out of that Golota wannabe. Sure Adamek beat up Golota, but that was the first time I had seen Andrew with titties. He was terribly out of shape, plus post left-arm-injury Golota was a shell of his former self.
