There hasn't been a real buzz about a HW fight in a long time that didn't include the name Tyson.

American sports media ****ed up with Wlad.

They were too lazy to teach boxing to HW fans, they would rather just wait for the next tyson.

Vlad didn't become boring until Steward turned him into Lennox Lewis The Next Generation. Holmes was also an unpopular champion, only gaining great celebrity status when he fought novelty act Gerry Cooney. The division was actually worse for those periods and it was so bad at one point that a worn-out version of Muhamad Ali managed to hang on to the heavyweight championship way too long, although he did lose it to a fighter with only 8 professional fights. The best time for heavyweights in recent years was when Tyson was "Kid Dynamite" and if you bother to read any boxing periodicals from that time you will see the old cliche, "the heavyweights are in the worse shape ever" covering the pages of The Ring and KO Boxing and that Tyson was only a blown-up cruiserweight who would be exposed by the first talented big man with a good jab he fought.

I think he actually had 3 major belts at one time has not lost a fight since then, although he may have forfeited a belt due to sanctioning politics.

He is the current Ring, IBF, WBC, WBO champ and beated the then undefeated WBA champ (Ruslan Chagaev, screw your politics WBA btw). If he's not THE champ, then nobody is. In any division. He holds all the important belts and, more important, THE REAL BELT: THE RING BELT
