Wilder, Price, Fury, Haye, Chisora, Arreola, Pulev, Glazkov, Povetkin, Stiverne, Banks, etc...

Now I'm not saying any of these guys are the second coming of Ali, but we could have ourselves some really fantastic fights in the coming couple of years as these guys try to establish dominance. Let's hope they all step up to the plate and their promoters make for some interesting matchups.

You forgot Jennings, Mago, Charr, and Dinu.

If these guys would ever actually fight each other, it could be massively exciting division.

I don't see any of them establishing any kind of dominance until Wlad retires.

There are four guys on that list that would have a chance against Wlad right now, given a completely neutral ref.

 Fat chance of that ever happening, even if he fights here in the US. Even then, I don't think any of them really possess the skills to successfully bring the fight inside.

Only ones who I really think would have a shot at beating him are Pulev and Price, much more so the former than the latter. He'd destroy Tyson Fury and Povetkin, has already beaten Haye, and seriously doubt he'd ever fight Banks. I don't think Wilder will be ready for him before he retires. Glazkov is another unproven, but I don't think has the height or reach to really make it all that competitive, and is still nowhere near ready for him anyway. The rest just aren't good enough to match him.

Yep, Pulev would be my first choice, followed by Price because he can be so aggressive on the inside. Mago, for the same reason, although his chances would be severely less.

#4 is Wilder, who I would not bet on, but who would obviously have a puncher's chance, esp given his 84" reach and the fact that Wlad's only defense against an overhand right is to pull his head straight back. I think Wilder could reach him, esp with the offensive footwork he just displayed against Kelvin Price.

Mago I think is too sloppy and doesn't have good enough ring smarts. He got tagged pretty good when McCline dropped him with that right, and was wobbly for the rest of the round. His chin might be suspect. I have a hard time seeing him advancing to a title fight unless he gets lucky against someone good. Wlad would pick him apart.

The heavyweight division will be at its all time worst. Just like the heavyweight division has been at its all time worst every day of every year since pencil necks began writing about the heavyweight division.

But I think the heavyweight division is the most exciting division. Klitschko cannot stay on top forever. Vitali is over 40 years old. Vladimir is starting to look slicker but that's mainly in terms of his hairline and he's starting to get closer to 40 years of age himself.

The big question is; who is the next dominate heavyweight or maybe, is there going to be a dominate heavyweight next? If the promoters don't screw everything up, like a certain promoter did in the 80s, we could have some interesting competitively matched fights in the heavyweight division. If the top fighters fight each other it can be close to it was back in the late 60s and early 1970s.

None of those mentioned in OP, are the second coming of the 36year old Ali.

Heavies are def starting to heat up..... only thing that can kill it is nobody fighting eachother.

But if even 60% of the fights that can happen, do happen, it will be a very fun era coming up and one that has potential to be much better then the last few.

Probably take Haye out, since he has stated that he is looking towards re-retirement, Chisora out since he has already lost to Haye and Fury.

All of Medzhidov, Dychko, Hrgovic, Russo and Usyk have all gone basically semi pro now at least with the WSB which should see them pushed on a bit faster. Hopefully a few of those turn properly pro after a year of testing with the WSB. I think Medzhidov certainly would adapt quickest to the pro game. I feel he's much more suited to that than the AM's despite always medaling highly as it is. He has the same brutal power of his cousin Mago if not more but obviously is a far more refined boxer on top of that.

Ivan Dychko is close to the same age as Fury and maybe close to the same height almost. Could be a fight that will happen at some stage.
