Where is Tommy Morrison? After this win he has to be top 5, at least: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YqGj0-q7zw[/ame] I bet Haye, The Klitschko's, Adamek, Potvekin and the rest of the top heavyweights **** themselves thinking about Morrison. #Sarcasm is heavy in this post, very heavy#
You and I seem to be watching the same guys. I don't see how anyone can not admire Helenius and Pulev for taking the bull by the horns. Some of these guys like to cry about how the Klits are so much bigger than their opponents- well here are two big, young, talented guys with contrasting styled ont eh fast track.
The Klitschkos need more credit. Their style isn't the most exciting but they make dudes quit on their stool and that says a lot. I swear, Ring Magazine hates the Klitschkos. BHop deserves to be on the list but has a boring style yet has been in their top ten for a while now. Pavlik, when he beat Taylor shot up to as high as #7 on their list. Klitschkos, for years, have been punishing people in the ring. And they're not all cans. Ask Samuel Peter and Chris Arreola. Seems like the European brothers can never get respect.
Helenius is listed at 6'6 but i really think he's quite a bit taller than that. He looks ordinary and unimpressive at first but holy **** is his right delivered with speed & power, very decieving. I'd like to see him vs Ustinov. Arreola Dimitrenko would be a slaughter. Dimitrenko sucks. The matchups of non top 10 guys i'd love to see is Virchis vs Peter Platov vs Arreola Or switch Peter/Arreola around. Any combination of Povetkin, Haye, Adamek, Boytsov vs eachother would be brutal and action packed fights.
Helenius has a wreckingball right hand to the body and his management doesn't seem afraid to have him leave the canned vegetable aisle. Great body puncher for somebody his height. I'm glad that there's finally a tall power puncher he isn't being formed into the Emanuel Lewis jab-him-til-he-runs-home-cryin' style. I think Wegner may need some more time to polish up Helenius' jab, but he does have the physical talent. Deontay Wilder--I think he may be the best kept secret in the heavyweight division at this point. He hasn't taken a serious step up in competition but he needs some more experience and he is very young compared to most heavyweights around now. Edmund Gerber--interesting prospect based in Germany. Like Wilder, Gerber 21 years old is young compared to most of his competitors. Gerber stands around 6' 3" and weighs somewhere between 225lbs-230lbs. Gerber is an explosive puncher with his right hand.
Yep, totally agree with that! :bbb For the record, I see Boystov as the successor of the K brothers right now...
:good I would only pick Holmy, Tyson, Holyfield, Lewis above them. Than Wlad. Bowe and Vitali are about even I think. :good
i think the klitchsckos should fight each other that would be the only fight i would pay to see plus it would be history.. but knowing them it'll probably be a boring 12 round decision with both guys just jabbing and ocasionaly throwing a right hand.. :hat
Please just remove Tyson Fury from the list of prospects, it angers me that some people thinks this guy is going anywhere...
I agree with the TS. I think the heavyweight division is quite exciting atm, loads of good fighters and exciting fights to be (or being) made. The division has came on a lot since 04-05, it would be ignorant to say otherwise Yea, I'd have Thompson as a contender in terms of ability too. Maybe as one of the lower ranked fighters in the top 10
