I never mentioned Platov, for that reason - inactivity.
Why on earth do you think Glazkov's career is over? He's just come off a very impressive win over Airich, ok he is taking things too slowly I feel but his career is far from over, quite the opposite.

hopefully these contenders actually fight each other an establish legit challengers for the titles otherwise it's more of the same but with better quality on average.

The trouble with all that is how often will those guys actually fight each other, or anyone for that matter. If contenders fought more regularly and against fighters whom they wouldn't just walk over, we'd have a half decent division right now. The current mentality of protecting your fighter from threats at all cost till he's amassed a big enough record to fight for a title is turning the HW division into a big swamp of boredom.

Regarding the young prospects, people have to remember the heavyweight age have gone up considerably. Champions are no longer made at 22-25, they are now hitting their prime in their early 30's. So big futures ahead for so many of them. I believe they will fight each other.
    The Very Young:
Artur Szpilka of Poland and D Whyte of the Uk have great potential. I watched both their fights, Whyte is as big as Puluv but looks to be a lot more mobile and have better speed at the age of 24 only.
Szpillka had some set backs but looks to be getting back in it. The Olympians are big too. Savon might turn pro, if he can defect. He is clearly the most talented out of the young ones, but Joshua and Dychko got size and Joshua seem to have a lot of athletic qualities. People are too harsh on Joshua and Ivan, they are huge men 6'6-6'9 and they move very well for early 20's.
Magomed Abdusalamov is another one to watch, but he did show signs of a weak chin. David Haye and Povetkin are entering their primes and with K2 aging, those two can have a field day a year from now.

Are you basing Mago's chin on the flash knockdown from McCline?
