Bio: He was born in the Dominican Republic and lived there for some time before his family moved to the Bronx.He started to train in boxing at Morris Park's Gym.He is 25 years old and is 6′ 0″ feet tall and has the reach of 73 inches.

Amateur background:2013 NY Golden Gloves silver medal winner and gold medal winner at 2014 NY Golden Gloves.

Pro Career: Have 7 wins with 3 knockouts. Recently defeated tall Ruslan Shalamov via UD.His recent opponent Ruslan Shalamov is a former MMA champion and had some amateur success in boxing before turning pro.Before Shalamov his best victory was over undefeated James Hammortree.

Style: Fights like Tyson.Doesn't have one punch knockout power, he is more of a volume puncher.

Potential future: I think, he will evolve into the good heavyweight.He looks strong.I think he will make noise in the heavyweight division.In all, he is a great prospect for the future.

George Arias (7-0, 3 KO’s) defeated oversized Russian Heavyweight Ruslan Shamalov (4-1, 3 KO’s) over 6 tough rounds of boxing. Arias had trouble at times with the forward-moving, heavy hands of Shamalov, but was able to stay active enough during the rounds to earn a well-deserved victory. Shamalov possessed at least a 6-inch height and reach advantage over Arias who was forced to do his work on the inside, gaining confidence with each passing round. Shamalov, a former MMA amateur champion, took heavy shots to the head even though he backed up Arias to the ropes several times with his wide, punishing hooks. The final scores were 60-54, 59-55, and 58-56 for Arias who now lives and trains in the Bronx.

In the co-feature, two New York City-based heavyweights, 6’5″ Russian Ruslan Shamalov (4-1, 3 KOs) and Dominican “Gentleman” George Arias (7-0, 3 KOs), fighting out of Brooklyn and the Bronx, respectively, put their undefeated records on the line to produce another Broadway Boxing heavyweight slugfest. Shamalov’s power punches rocked the much shorter 5’11” Arias in the first round, but Arias stayed off the ropes and boxed much better in the second. The two fighters exchanged bombs throughout a terrific third round and, somehow, the fourth was even better with back-and-forth, nonstop action. The pace subsided slightly in the fifth round, setting the stage for a bombs-away sixth and final frame that didn’t disappoint. Shamalov and Arias fought at a furious pace, especially for heavyweights, in a legitimate six-round “Fight of the Year” candidate. Arias, the leader of Team Wash Em’ Up in the Bronx, won a unanimous decision by scores of 60-54, 59-55, and 58-56. “This win was humongous for me,” said an overjoyed Arias. “I had a game plan, but once he hurt me in the first round, my heart took over and I just fought. I like to fight for the people, so I held on in the first instead of taking a knee.”
