Folks, Big Michael Grant only has THREE losses on his pro record.... Them losses to "Lewis, McCline & Dom Guinn." The last loss to Guinn was yrs ago... Why has Michael Grant's career stalled so badly? Christ, with roughly 45 wins against only 3 stoppage losses, nobody hardly whispers his name at heavyweight anymore.... I thought Michael Grant owned the tools to be very good, but he was bullshitted and rushed too quickly early on...... Now the dude is pushing age 36 in 2010. If he's gonna make a move, he's gotta get his ass in gear like now....... MR.BILL:bbb
Yea man. I remember he was supposed to be Lennox Lewis's heir apparent. Man that fight against Golota was a damn good fight. He had the athleticism, but fell short in the rest. He needed that "killer instinct". He only would awake the beast when he got provoked it seemed.
he was a bum then and hes a bum now. maybe in todays heavyweight division, a prime and confident Grant could maybe make somethin of himself but he was absolutely no match for Lewis back then.
yeah, its a shame he's fought so sparingly in the last few years. if he was active and matched carefully, imo he could've gotten a big fight or two with his size and somewhat of a name. I mean just look at some of the undeserved title shots that have occured in the hw division in the past few years.
I never saw the '98 or so ESPN2 fight in which Grant knocked the **** outta Jorge L. Gonzalez....... I wish I had that clip...... MR.BILL:bbb
I would love to see him get going. 36 is not that old for a big heavy, and with his size and power he would make a great fight with Wlad Klit.
good lord Gonzalez like most Cuban fighters had no Chin he had about as bad of a Chin as Grant has. :roflatsch
Michael Grant was just way too soft as a fighter, remember how he told Lennox "God bless you" one minute as they were about to fight, he had the tools to be a top heavyweight but not the killer instinct.
