Old news, yet still I found it interesting.

An Account from the guardian of Tyson/Lewis pre-fight Brawl

The pair stood on two spotlit podiums in the run-up to their WBC heavyweight title fight when Tyson chose to walk across, gesticulate with and punch one of Lewis's security and then have the Briton clatter a right down on him. After the melee, in which the WBC president Jose Sulaiman was knocked unconscious, Tyson walked to the front of the stage and repeatedly grabbed his crotch. "It was Lennox's bodyguard who panicked and shoved me," claimed Tyson. "I was here to promote the fight, not be intimidated. I will never be intimidated by anyone, and Lennox will pay in April." He didn't. A recovered Sulaiman later said: "Today's events are but one of the very many instances that have recently taken place that degrade boxing. It would be discriminatory to single out Mike Tyson because many other boxers have behaved similarly at other press conferences." He wasn't wrong.

Fast forward to a couple weeks ago when Chisora slapped Vitali at a weigh in

Chisora could face a fine of $50,000 (£31,600) from the World Boxing Council, whose president, José Sulaimán, described the slap as "an absolute disgrace", and added that Vitali would "punish" Chisora in the ring

Is it one rule for one boxer and one for another?

Was he easy on Tyson simply because it was Mike Tyson

Or has he just got a hard on for Vitali?

The WBC and the rest of the governing bodies are pointless pieces of **** the sooner boxing promoters stop paying them the better. There is currently no such thing as a world champion - that is a fact. Just loads of claimants. Hbo have the power to crown a set of champions I believe.

This is a true expose. ****ing hilarious. Boxing and everyone who views it is the most fickle sport.

Our darling Lewis also had a fight with Hasim Rahman.

Fact - tensions are always boiling in boxing and these guys are ready to be unleashed by at all times. The only way to sort it out is neutral parties i.e. security who have no affiliation and as soon as there is a push etc they step in. How many weigh ins/press conferences would be all out brawls if people didn't step in!

    And Suliaman's own sickening display of street thuggery during the Brodie-Chi post-fight press conference show his recent comments and actions regarding Chisora have taken the term 'hypocrisy' to a whole new level;

    http://www.secondsout.com/uk-boxing-news/uk-boxing-news/cowboys-and-injin-brodie-fight-a-draw

"Then Sulaiman became absolutely incensed when Steve Lillis of the Sport said the reversal of the result was crooked; astonishingly, Sulaiman tried to attack the reporter and actually had to be physically restrained from doing so. Not his finest hour."

    http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/boxing/4167994/Carl-Froch-fight-fix.html

"At the post-fight Press conference, journalist Steve Lillis said the changing of the results was crooked.

Sulaiman flipped and went to attack the battle-hardened hack.

The punching president missed with a wild left hook and then kicked and swore while being restrained by a security guard.

    Pot... kettle... black?"

Jose is not a Hypocrite, he is just keeping the sport in the news and helping to promote a Vitali/Haye fight that can make himself even richer. That sounds smart to me...

this fool just keeps exposing himself

Suliman says Khan Garcia winner must CHOOSE between the WBA and WBC titles, and drop the WBA or be stripped.

"It's a real surprise to learn the WBA title is involved, The WBC will only accept the WBC. Whoever doesn't want it, the title is vacant"

He probably wants to grab a slice of the pie from JMM's next fight, if it's not Pacquiao at 147.
