The 70's Golden Age of the Lightheavies, plus MSpinks vs Qawi, had fights equal to, or better than this Kov vs Ward fight, regularly on a 6-month basis over about 6 years. Best to let the fight occur, then judge it post-fight.

Its clearly a much better fight than Kovalev Stevenson

    Stevenson would be massively outclassed

For all his skill, Ward has no chin and no power. Nothing to deter Kovalev doing a round 12 Hopkins job on him and blasting him out if he gets frustrated

If Beterbiev is alright after his surgery and career being flushed down the toilet by Haymon, then that's the biggest fight at 175, and arguably in boxing

Ward has no chin ? based on what knockout loss again ?

I think Ward is going to beat him easily ..

There is no way of knowing what the historical significance is now now. It'll be in large part dependent on what they do afterwards with the rest of their careers. Will it be a turning point, will be an end, or perhaps even in the beginning?

I hope to be standing behind the catapult, when they let fly that statue.
