He was willing.. But of course Floyd's agenda wasn't to get PAC to take the test... it was to avoid having to face him in the ring. Fighters just need to shut the **** up, stop making up excused NOT to fight and lace up. I swear we got a bunch of babies coming up with their own requirements just to do their jobs.atsch
Willing to do what? He has NEVER been willing to engage in any type of testing where he did not know when it would begin or end. Who can really say who is on what, without clear evidence? But, avoiding truly randomized testing at all costs....is suspicious, IMO. As someone mentioned, he could do fully randomized testing prior to ANY of his fights--not just against Floyd--and it would close everyone's mouths on the whole matter...including Floyd's. And, it would further support the need for this type of testing to be implemented in boxing, if its two biggest stars are willing to do it. I see nothing but good things coming from something like that.
Don't be silly man. PAC agreed to the testing that Floyd and his team were in a stalemate on earlier in the year. you know that. PAC agreed to the demands and Floyd dipped out to go on vacation....Then re-surfaced after the Marg/PAC fight was announced with his very articulate racial rant....only to kill any notion of a potential fight with them by claiming he lost his "URGE". Bottom line the tests that Floyd wanted would be random....the tests PAC agreed to would be random. The only issue was how late in training camp they could administer the last blood test. In the Shane/Floyd fight the final blood test was done 18 days prior to the fight. When you make statements that you are saying as if they are FACT...it's the persons OBLIGATION and RESPONSIBLITY to support those comments with FACTS. Not go.....Make accusations and then try to CREATE evidence on the back end. With or without the tests that Floyd demanded will NOT prove anyone is clean or dirty. It just won't. It has a potential to catch a doper...but so does the current standards of testing in place. I could see a point if PAC actually avoided at all cost randomized blood tests but that's as false as Floyd allegations that he still has yet to support with facts. There's NO reason for PAC to go out of his way to take additional tests knowing that he's a clean athlete. That's like asking someone who had "RUMORS" spread about having an STD....and just to be sure the person who spread the rumors told them to take STD testsing every month just to prove the RUMOR false. That's backwards son. And it makes no sense. The support for more strigent testing is there....the cost effectiveness at the moment is not. It shouldn't be delegated to ONE particular fighter who already has a strong and clean repuation. NV is already including more indepth drug tests that should be implemented soon. And as the commission regulates....Fighters LIKE PAC will follow the rules. But that's the COMMISSIONS rules...NOT FLOYD MAYWEATHERS. Sure there are good things to come from it...but where it all started came from somewhere that was shady and irresponsible. Floyd could have went about changing the sports current testing measures in a professional way instead of causing this circus with all the accusations.
I respect your points. The simple fact is...Manny did not agree to Floyd's final revision to his original demand (which was fully randomized testing), in January. We know that...nothing to debate there. He did not want to do it two weeks out from the fight. He waited 6 months then "agrees" to a condition he KNEW was no longer available. Nothing to debate here either. Manny's final revision to his acceptance of the (unavailable) 14 day offer, was a 7 DAY offer. Again...FACT. Nowhere, has he said ANYTHING about participating in the testing without a cutoff. However, it is obvious he sees the importance of better testing methods in general, as he stated such in a video he released, which was quickly pulled down. He just can't bring himself to go all the way, it seems. There's randomness determined by the testing organization. And there's randomness determined by the recipient of those tests. Which is a more effective deterrent? That's a rhetorical question, as you should already know the answer. In fact it seems, that letting the testers determine the cutoff might bode better for Manny, since they clearly don't have to draw blood close to the fight. But, the point is...THEY CAN. That's what it seems Manny is trying to CONTROL. Not a good look...when you say you are a clean athlete. I'm not sure that cost is the issue either. I listened to the board meeting (which was open to the public) conducted by the NSAC a few months back, which Travis Tygart (USADA) also attended, and while he and their experts did not agree on the methods, I don't recall cost being an issue. Feel free to refresh my memory on that. I don't think anyone is saying that the testing is 100% guaranteed to catch someone using banned substances. But, as you said it has the "potential" to do so....greater "potential" than exists at the moment, due to the approach more so than the actual tests being conducted. The fact that SSM beat the Commission testing, for who knows how long, shows the development (and innovation) of illegal substances is far ahead of the antiquated methods being used to detect them. What I understand least about people's argument against it, is why does it matter who proposes it? If the Commission wants to do it, they will. If a fighter like Floyd wants the added insurance of requesting more stringent testing, for HIS OWN FIGHTS, and is willing to pay out of his fight purse to do so...so be it. If Manny wants the fight, with Floyd, he will take the test. It's simple. It has nothing to do with him being scared of Floyd. It is the test (in its truest form) he is clearly not interested in taking. And the reverse is true for Floyd....he is not interested in fighting Manny (or anyone else, at this point) without full randomized testing. But, that does not translate to a fear of Manny, IMO...only to those who find comfort in that belief. Both guys are tough as hell in that ring...in my view.
Personally unless anyone can prove he is taking 7000 cals per day this argument it pretty pointless. People say things that that are not true every day and just because one person said he consumes that many calories per day it does not make it true. Personally i think he consumes way less, and they are just trying to make a big deal out of it. Or maybe he just eats 4 large pizzas a day lol.
Wrong again, do the math!. like I said, Phelps actually eats 12,000 calories a day while training. not 10,000 so thats nearly twice as much food for a guy weighing only 50 lbs. more Olympic level swimming in a warm pool does not necessarily burn more calories than 12 rounds of sparing either
WTF? So that is his logic? Michael Phelps eats a whooping 12,000 calories a day during competition. When you are sick you need to eat twice the caloric requirement in order not to lose muscle mass. When you are an athlete, you need more. Stupid and dumbass. Edit : Soemone posted this Phelps figure already but I can not be bothered reading through gunk of stupidity.
No doubt. I see your angle and your stance on this situation. For me.....I couldn't get on Floyd's bandwagon simply b/c the way he went about "cleaning up boxing" was completely irresponsible and without merrit. PAC didn't agree to Floyd's demands to begin with b/c of of how Floyd went about singling out Manny with some VERY SERIOUS accusations that he never could or wanted to support. To me that is enough for PAC just to tell Floyd to go **** off and call it a day. Had PAC went about calling Floyd out.....Accusing him of doping and placing into question his career accomplishemnt then DEMAND Floyd clear his name by taking the tests Manny wanted....Floyd wouldn't have even tried to negotiate. He would have told PAC to go screw himself. With that said......PAC really wanted to fight Floyd and was more than willing to go BEYOND the half way mark....he went as far as to call his bluff. And from what PAC said...he agreed to ALL of Floyd's demands. That is hazy at the moment b/c of what Koncz said. But at the end of the day the demands should have never been in place. There was no basis or foundation for the accusation nor the singling out of Manny simply b/c he's successful. There's ALWAYS a cutoff....regardless of if the 2 sides agreed on 14 days, 30 days or even inbetween rounds. There's ALWAYS a cut off day. The random element is still present even if Floyd and Manny agreed to 14 or 7 days. Is it necessary....NO. But is it good for boxing if the testing measures take this direction...ABSOLUTELY. With that said.....PAC should have to be the one who this movement is based on and that's exactly what Floyd did. of course Manny in his position is trying to hold some control in this situation....Look at Floyd. He's trying to dictate the entire situation...from making the accuations...to chosing the organization to administer the test to making the demands. It's logcial that PAC would scoff at the demands considering the path Floyd took to set up this situation. Cost is the big issue....BOXING is so big that smaller states or commissions can't enforce BLOOD testing the way Floyd wanted it. If this was cost effective then SPORT WIDE would have already been ahead of the mark. Shane could have beaten USADA's testing.....They do it all the time with athletes in the olympics where their resources are limited. Someone like Floyd, PAC or Shane has all the resources necessary to beat any testing measures including USADA or WADA. Sure the fact that how in depth the tests are woudl deter smaller fish....but not at this level. If you're a cheat....you know how to beat any system. IF something like this is pushed it should be BOXING wide...not delegated to one or a few fighters. I respect your stance on this homie. You make a lot of valid points and I truly appreciate that. And I can't even say that you're wrong b/c from your angle I can grasp what you're saying and really understand it. I just think I'm coming from a different level that stems from how all this began. I want to see this fight like everyone else. I just don't know if Floyd himself really wants it. Based on what he's shown us. But of course this is all my opinion. And I have been wrong in the past. I just think I'm on point in this situation.

Why even bother asking this. It should be name one world class athlete you've helped with their nutrition.
Steroids have been in play since the 1936 Berlin Olympics. Body builders have been heavy into HGH since the 1970s and today, drugs are way ahead of the testing. Some of the new PEDS can only be detected through a muscle biopsy!! Not urine...not blood....but here we got the Golden Boy and the Pretty Boy suddenly claiming they gonna clean up boxing; but if these two hypocrites really know that Pac is using, its only because they have been using themselves. I hope Pac suits these two boys to the hilt and Margo should suit Oscar and the Ring Magazine for all the plaster of pares quotes they been making
