This is a topic I admittedly know very little about.

Anyone have any interesting facts on this?

And what are some of the oldest complete filmed matches that you consider to be of good or very good quality?

This is something that I'm interested in, too, but sadly, I don't know too much about it. I've always wondered about footage of old fighters like Langford, Peter Jackson, Jim Jeffries, Gans, Greb, etc. Footage of their fights seem to be very rare and only maybe in "good" quality.

Look up on youtube the biography of Harry Greb. The author said that silver was gutted from film for WWII so many film has been lost. He also said that Boxing films are among the best that have survived. Luckily for us.
