The history of shots below the belt, could you guys fill me in on the hilarity?

    Could any of you wizards in classic inform me about a few things when it comes to the dreaded but entertaining Low Blow?

    - Has a fight ever been stopped because a Low Blow has been so bad the fighter cannot continue?

    - What is the most blatent, obvious, purposeful lowblow in the history of boxing (preferably resulting in a DQ)

    - Have two fighters ever blatently exchanged lowblows, both resulting in warnings?

    - Has a guy ever been KO'd by a low blow? (Is it even possible?)

    - In your opinion what is the most brutal low blow in the history of boxing?

    - And finally, what is the funniest lowblow in the history of boxing?

    Answers would be much appreciated brothers :good

    In Tyson-Ruddock II, both huge punchers exchanged low blows in their brutal war and Mills Lane deducted points from both after they'd used up their warnings.
    One of the commentators said you'd need a "Japanese computer" just to work out the scores, in reference to the amount of points deducted. :lol:

    You can start with Max Schmeling winning the Heavyweight Title via a low blow by Jack Sharkey.

    Ahh yeah I think I read about that somewere...

    My knowledge is limited I only got into boxing 2 years ago when I was 14 :cool: So why was he not DQ'd then? :huh

    Sharkey hit Max below the belt.....and Max couldn't get up.

    The ref award the fight & title to Max, and dq'ed Sharkey.

    Norfolk/Greb in 1924 was pretty dirty by all accounts with a fair few low blows being handed out.
