A few facts for you:

* Only 6 of the last 24 WBA 'World' Heavyweight Championship fights have ended in knockout.

* John Ruiz, Nikolay Valuev or Ruslan Chagaev have competed in all but one (Haye-Harrison) of the WBA Heavyweight Championship fights since the turn of the new millenium.

* The WBA Heavyweight Title is **** and has been for 12 years since they stripped Lennox Lewis :deal

 

I'm not a big Haye fan by any means but he's a long long long long long long way from being the only guy who's fought for a title that was vacated or stripped for some spurious reason. There's alot of reasons to knock him, particularily the fight where he actually won that title, but it's not really his fault that the fight was for the title, it's a symptom of the sanctioing body lunacy in boxing today.

you forgot the part about chagaev having aids and not being able to fight.

 

Says it all really - it was just a merry go around for all the outsiders not good enough to hold the real titles.

And to say Wlad and Vitali ducked Valuev is laughable.

Valuev was just involved in this bogus merry go around for the WBA strap.

According to the WBA it was because he was out for a year injured but this seems hilarious when you have Guillermo Jones winning the WBA CW title in Sept 2008 and making his first defence in October 2010 he was never stripped.

I do have to laugh, as an American looking in at this thread it almost seems as if the Haye-ologists are massively getting their knickers in a twist because young David's entire 'amazing' HW career is based on winning that worthless WBA paper title. Clearly, very clearly at that this really cuts deep amongst this cult of hopeless Haye followers and they just can not except it.

But I reach out to you lot of savages in peace, do you not but know that pro boxing is not like the olympics? It is not an international sport, it is every man for himself, making the absolute that he can from his career. Clearly this is something the Island apes have dramatically failed to grasp, I do hope they learn from this, but I shalt hold my breath.

 

vern no one has ever said haye is a great heavyweight, he built his legacy at cruiserweight, i'd suggest you put down the hamburger and watch some boxing you fat sister molesting ******.
