No way Cotto gets by Martinez, so substitute Martinez for Cotto for Mayweather's last fight and you have yourself a realistic scenario.

That's wishing on a star + Unless you also wish that Bob Arum dies within' the next 2 years. Which will be the ONLY way those fights ever happen.

Bobfather will never give Floyd those fights.

+1 The Pacquiao fight is going to be the one that may never get made.

Not sure about that. Floyd tend to be over-concerned about keeping his perfect record.

Floyd needs to lose to make him realize that the "0" means nothing at all.

I believe when that happens, he will be more eager to avenge hiss loss, and the true Floyd Mayweather will show up and will surely win all his next fights.

Without doubt, he will be considered at the top 10 ATG. :good

Martinez has talked about staying at 160, so that isn't happening. And no way in hell does slow midget arms Cotto beat Martinez at any weight.

Martinez maybe brings the same risk but in a different package however the reward is puny compared to the fight with Pac. If Floyd beats Pacquiao, he doesn't have to fight another fight. His legacy will be solidified and I'd bet he'd break the top ten atg. That is if he takes the fight and wins obviously.

Cotto would lost to martinez badly & retire right after that fight.

This here is where your scenario fails.
