You mean the same way Calzaghe was about to be knocked out at the end of the 7th?

Some people are just too thick to see their own hypocrisy.

He's 43 years old. Don't you understand that means he can't fight like he could 8,9,10 years ago? When a younger, fresher fighter like Taylor or Calzaghe sets a breakneck pace, a 43 year old fighter can't go all out like a threshing machine and match it, it just can't be done, it's the way the human body works. Deny it if you want, but it's human nature, plain as day to any neutral.

Watch the fight dumbass. If you think Hopkins when he got the lowblow break was anywhere near as buzzed as your Joe was at the end of the 7th, you're even more of a cretin than I originally thought.

    No.

But there are other ways to end a fight prematurely

It's unlikely at that stage of his career that 'China hands' Joe would KO Bernard with power.

But well within the realm of possibility that he would have stopped him with work rate.

Have you ever boxed or competed in any kind of martial competition?

When you become exhausted and can't keep your opponent off you and can't answer back, the fight often gets stopped.

Anyone with 20/20 vision saw it as a **** fight. It was utterly boring and uneventful. The only ones who lost were the fans.

I don't think this debate will ever end.

The judges gave it to Calzaghe, most of the fans on this forum gave it to Calzaghe.

People on either side of the argument will never convince each other so there's really no point in starting threads like this anymore.

    Agreed :good

And we all know which boxer in the ring that night was to blame for it as well.

I agree with this. The subject is like a rotting corpse on this forum, it's been done to the death and beyond far too many times.

Joe buzzed ? He wasn't buzzed at all.

You should just stop posting regarding this fight. Totally clueless.
