  5. He'd rather sell fighting a 37 year old as a tough test, just like Breazelle was meant to be a tough test.

Why are people pumping Parker up as anything special?!

  7. Because Parker would ruin AJ who is doing everything to duck.

Talking about Stiverne when he should be talking about dates with his mandatory.

Parker imo ain't special but at least he would come to win and have a chance unlike all yes all Joshua's opponents yes aloud easy start but he's has feasted on bums full Carear so far yet is built up as next coming of Tyson he was rocked by whyte who wasn't wven know apart from Beating him as an amateur , wilder gets dog abuse and rightly so as he has also feasted on bums. Once Joshua actual beats sumone who can punch and wants win then gets credit bug fighting another overweight 37 old who hasn't looked good in 3 years is utterly pointless and does nothing for fans or for him except pickup easy pay check and this stage he should be tryin to step up a level for when actual touch test come along.

Sorry bad grammar predict txt pain ****

Nobody saying he is special - he is the mandatory and a live body.

Joshua is being brought along ok and this fight is another step up. Yes, Stiverne isn't what he was, but he is better than Martin and Breazeale, and until Whyte proves himself, he is, on paper, a step up from him, too.

Joshua fought the usual types of journeymen and former contenders who were past it, like all prospects face. He then faced his first live test in Whyte. He then takes the Martin fight, who may not be as good as Whyte, but considering he held a belt and was largely unproven, it was a no brainer. The Breazeale fight was pointless. He probably should have fought Stiverne instead. Well now he is. The plan was for AJ and Parker to slip in another fight before their fight early next year. This is still on track, so unless AJ does duck him then, I really don't see what all the moaning is about.

AJ seems to get a lot of stick because of the promotional job Hearn has done which has led to a lot of hype. I don't see the point, if I'm honest. It is Hearn's job to promote AJ to get the most money for the two of them as they can possibly get. As for the hype; who cares if a load of casuals think he is the second coming of Mike Tyson? Why do people let themselves get wound up over the opinions of people who know hardly anything about the sport?

Because of the overhype of Joshua (the vast majority of which are casuals), some of the more knowledgable boxing fans now underplay Joshua's ability and potential.

  12. Are you out of your mind?

''Brought along nicely'' ''Another step up''

You do realise AJ is IBF champ? and as champ you fight the best, no excuses.

If AJ didn't feel he was ready enough to represent the belt then he shouldn't have fought for it, period.

Mike tyson was only 20 when he won the title and unified a few years later. He didnt need to be ''brought along'' he didn't need ''step ups' he actually stepped up with one leap and fought the best, no excuses

All this **** about not being ready is just showing how little faith his team have in this overrated robotic Meanwhile him and that snake Hearn in every interview keep talking about fighting the best and being ready for the fury's and wilders of this world, yet he's talking up fighting a 37 year old overrated slob that was probably last seen in Dennys. Who will stand in front of him and take brain damaging blows for a few rounds before picking up a cheque to stuff more food down his throat.

Dillian whyte a prospect similar to himself is the only recognisable name on his record. All the others just turned up to fall down in front of him

I don't think there are many champions who can honestly say they do that.

Anyway, there is a date by which he has to face Parker by (I think early next year) and I see no reason to believe he won't. Parker will most likely get iced and then whoever he fights next will be the one to "end the hype job" etc

    Very good post mate.

The fake advertising of fights really needs to be addressed then people would have no problem.

Eddie makes comments to fleece the thick public that the fights are 50/50 fights - 'this is the fight you all want to see' and 'a real test for Joshua' etc when everyone knows that Cornish/Breazeale/Martin type fights are 95/5 fights.

We know Eddie means 'this is a shyte fight that I want you mugs to fork out Pay per Poo to see'.

Shameful scenes and the reason why boxing remains a minority sport.

Stiverne if in shape could be dangerous for Joshua, he keeps he's right hand low and stiverne left could catch him
