I would vote Michael McDonald, Rory MacDonald, and Sergio Pettis as prospects worth watching. Michael McDonald may have a Glass Jaw but the fight in which he was stopped occurred when he was 18 and the punches came in bunches and looked pretty hard. He's had time to fill out and he clowned Escovedo in their rematch so, while I'm not willing to say he certainly isn't a China Chinned Hype Job, I don't expect to see him starched again any time soon.

this guy is the ****ing man he has taken some of the most brutal hits in his fight with martin kampman and has an iron chin, if he can improve his wrestling base and/or BJJ I think he will prove to be more than a gatekeeper.

 

The future of the WW division if his performances are anything to go by. A total noob, dominated Condit for 14 minutes and out classsed a top 10 WW in Nate

So, thoughts on Michael McDonald? He looks mighty impressive as of late and although he got stopped once it wasn't anything that seemed to point to Chin issues although that can't be discounted.

 

He, along with Jones, is the true next generation of Mixed Martial Artists. Good grappling plus good striking, with plenty of room for improvement. Kid is an athletic stud too. I think we can give him a pass for tje Condit loss to

IMO Carlos is on the cusp of being an elite MMA fighter, or atleast a B+ contender, he just aint got the names on the record to prove it. And the way he absolutely shut him out, at 21, shows immense promise

And I just love how he counters a jab with a head kick, something I have only seen him do. The Nate fight was almost an exhibition, GSp should study that fight when he gets in there with Nick

I agree with all of that but I was asking your opinion on MICHAEL MCDONALD, not Rory MacDonald. You get a pass for being drunk, I'm working on the same, but answer the question. And what's your poison tonight?

PS- Gotta hard on for Erick Silva already.. Homeboy looked like a bullfighter in those 20 seconds at Rio.

 

Yeah, he fought in the WEC once or twice, loads of times for Tachi Palace Fights, and he starched that Soto guy at UFC 139. Absolutely brutal KO. And he's only 20 or 21 so there's a whole lot of upside there.
