Last time Derrick was impressed was when Ali knocked out Liston. And even then he bitched about the phantom punch.

Qf course it needs to be kept in perspective.Macklin isn't one of the elite people know that, but he's no bum either and no one has ever handled him like that.

sick fighter.Could potentially be a p4p no1 just needs a chance to prove it.If the other middles avoid him i dont consider them cowards or duckers, its understandable.

Macklin is a very solid fighter, only a true world class fighter would of beat him like that.

GGG is the real deal, nobody has ever done that to Macklin before.

People who are now slating Macklin really don't know ****. In my opinion, he beat Sturm in a close but clear decision, he gave a very good account of himself against Martinez putting him on the floor in the process so has proven he is world level.

He would beat other belt holders in the division and I hope he does get another shot at a title.

Triple G impressed but lets not forget who he beat. Macklin is nothing special. I dont know of anyone who picked him to beat Golovkin. He was suppose to be a good test though. I had Golovkin wining by mid round ko.

Right here pal haha! In all honesty I thought the size and Macklin's ability to turn fights into grueling slug fests would wear triple G down and the nod. I know who he beat wasn't exactly championship caliber, but it was just the manner in which he beat him. I didn't expect Golovkin to destroy him with such relative ease:shock:

So you picked him to win? My only question for you would be who has Macklin beaten that would suggest he can get a win over someone as good as Golovkin?

Eh, my prediction was less based on resume but more based on styles. I just thought at the time Macklin would be the stronger, more rugged fighter that would drag triple G into deep waters giving him a hard fought UD win.

I agree that Mac isn't elite.......but C class? Get a grip. He's given some of the best MW's stiff challenges and inmy opinion should be a former world champ. To call Mac C class is ridiculous. He's world class and a top MW in the world.
