You guys complain that there are too many weight divisions in boxing, and claim that it has spoiled the sport. Which it has to an extent. But at the same time, you actually advocate catchweights, which are merely an artificial weight division between one of "too many" established divisions. It's disgusting.
Catchweights are okay every once in a while. If it's for the good of the sport, you just sort of have to accept them. That said, when fighters like Juan Diaz and Paulie Malignaggi are fighting at a catch weight...something's wrong.
What are you on about, there are no titles for catchweight divisions, it's just designed to eliminate possible handicaps
Titles don't mean a damn thing anyway, and they mean even less when catchweights are involved. Take Pac/Cotto as an example. If Pacquiao wins no-one is going to say that the 147 titlists are better or have more claim to be in the top 3 than Pac, are they? Also, was the B-Hop/DLH catchweight for titles? I believe they were....
Catchweights are bull ****. They would not be around if it wasnt for the mythical P4P list. Both boxers may weigh the same but one always has an advantage by being naturaly bigger. Catchweights just devalue the real titles.
