I have never been a Manny Pacquiao fan and for a while I coudn't stand him since he was beating my favorite boxers. I was depressed when he knocked out Erik Morales in the 2nd fight. I almost didn't sleep the night when he made De La Hoya quit. I was furious when he knocked out Ricky Hatton in 2 rounds. I couldn't bare to watch the Cotto fight after hearing about the stoppage (I missed the fight). After his fight with Margarito however, he finally made me really appreciate how great he is. Not only does the man have the skills, power, speed, heart, and chin but to top it all of, he is a great humanitarian as he demonstrated by not going for the kill on a cleraly beaten opponent in the 11th and 12th rounds. Also, he showed a lot of class by admitting he was hurt and given props to Margarito. There is certainly no other fighter like him today.
you dont have to be a fan, but you have to respect the guys accomplishments. . . thats a hard task for *****'s to do but seriously, he has given a lot to this sport and he should be appreciated for it
He's a great fighter. I don't understand why it's seen as odd to like both Pac and Floyd. Why does it have to be one or the other? Floyd is my favourite current fighter, but I still love what Pac does in the ring. They're both amazing to watch in different ways. Although Pac's mercy marks him out from most fighters, I agree...loved how he held back in those last rounds.
