    Tickets are now available for the El Cepillo Express.

    This is not an anti-Khan thread, it's just a pro-Casamayor one.

    So, this if for the elite group of massive Casamayor fans (all five of us!) who hope the Cuban Legend can rise to the occasion for one last, glorious victory!

    As much as I hate to say it, its another fight made for Khan to avoid getting stopped.

    Shocking fight, Khan is a tosser and I hope he gets sparked sooner than later.

    Sorry gents, being a Khan fan I can't be joining your express. But I do hope Casa has enough left in him to at least make it competitive. Do any of you guys know how he looked in his last fight against Jason Davis (took place in November)?

    There are my initial thoughts on the fight;

    It's a good fight for Casamayor. He's badly faded, semi-retired and 39 years old but he's getting $700,000 and a chance at another title. If he loses he's old and shot, if he wins he's shocked the world.

    The fact that so many are writing him off his quite amusing. Casamayor hits a lot ****ing harder than Salitia and Malignaggi. Even now, I think he's a better fighter than those two, he has more experience and bag of wily southpaw veteran tricks. Furthermore, I expect Casa to have the kind of motivation to train for this fight, which is something that perhaps he's lacked in the past.

    As a counter puncher he's at a stylistic disadvantage, against a guy with quick hands and good in-and-out movement, so Casa can't win on points, because his stamina is just about gone as well.

    I expect Casa will be competitive for the first few rounds until Khan establishes some kind of dominance with his jab, but don't bet against Casa being down on points going into the later stages of the fight and then scoring a brutal KO with a trademark left hook - the same punch that Corrales, Castillo and JMM couldn't see or stop, the same punch that felled Katsidis.

    He looked old and out of shape, quite grossly out of shape, in fact. But other than that he was moving more, and better, than I've seen him do for a long time, in the last few years his big problem has been not having the legs beanth him, not being able to judge distance, so he's been having to stay in range and has therefore been taking a lot of punches that he wouldn't have done in the past.

    Casa is old and faded, but he's not shot and he does have something left in the tank. He will be competitive for periods of the fights. If he losses on points, I expect him to win 3-4 rounds. The most likely outcome though, sad to say, is a Khan win via later stoppage.

    The fight is at 140. Casa weighed 146 for his last outing against Davis. I don't believe weight is an issue in this fight. Being shop worn definetly is though.
