Eifert is ready to be knocked out for a good paycheck, kudos to the courage but this is an unnecessary fight...
Eifert is 13-1 with 5 Kos. But the IBF prefers him over Bivol? If you had to name the top fighters of the 2020s, Usyk, Opetaia, Bivol, Canelo and Crawford would all be on the list. With Bivol now on the chopping block, the IBF will have stripped or demanded each of them comply or vacate their IBF belts in recent years. You really can't screw up worse than that as an organization. Just do a better job ranking boxers and stay the hell out of the way.
I think Beterbiev will win the 3rd fight. He brutalized and dominated Bivol in 10th and 12th round in the 2nd fight. Bivol was gifted a decision win.
No Bivol beat him much more comprehensively the 2nd time. Beterbiev only landed 17 percent of his punches and did considerably worse. Anyone who thinks Beterbiev won the 2nd fight with Bivol cannot score a fight end of.
I think if an alphabet body is going to strip a champion for refusing to fight a specific fighter that fighter should be considered by most people to be better than the bodys champion. I don't believe in mandatorys but thats why they exist. Somewhere along the way sanctioning bodies got this crazy idea they can force champions to face random guys in the top 10. And that if they refuse they aren't champion. The idea behind Eiferts ranking is he beat Pascal in 2023 when Pascal was still ranked high cause he hadn't lost in a bit. Being a mandatory that gets to fight for a vacant belt is a whole different story but I get why hes rated high. If they weren't stripping a champ for it I like Eifert and Wallace for a vacant belt though. If Eifert beats Wallace hes legit. I don't expect him too but if he does.
The IBF keeps pulling mandatories out of their ass, as usual. But in this case, I have to side with the IBF. They already ordered this fight once, and granted Beterbiev an exception for his rematch with Bivol. Eifer has been the mandatory since 2023. How ****ing long does he have to wait? Recently the WBC mandated a defense, and Bivol vacated the belt. Smith actually petitioned the WBO, but got turned down. WBA doesn't care as long as the sanctioning fees keep rolling in.
