The Idea That Pac Has Taken on Better Fighters Than Mayweather: Does It Hold Water?

Hatton is 43-0 and is top 10 p4p, he will go to the HOF. Cotto is better than MAB and Morales, and he will one day be in the HOF. If Floyd were to go up in weight and beat DLH and then beat Hatton and Cotto in succession, that would certainly trump Pac's wins over MAB and Morales and draw against JMM.

ODLH won the WBOgus 130 title and 160 so that doesnt count. He had no real claim to either world title. so from 135-154 ODLH won legit titles and I believe he was lineal at 147 and 154

Who is making up rules?????? The 3 major titles are the WBA, WBC, AND IBF.......these arent my opinions they are facts......ODLH won the WBO belt at 130 while Azumah Nelson was the man there....like I said ODLH had no real claim to the world title.....also at 160 he won the WBOgus belt from Felix Sturm while Hopkins was recognized as the champion for years since 2001....again Oscar had no claim to being the true middleweight champion.....now as far as 135-154 DLH won legit world titles and was lineal at 147 and 154 those are facts.

 

I'm not giving Floyd credit for anything. Chimba said something about Floyd beating 3 HOF level guys in a row. If he wins in 2 weeks, that would be 2 HOF level guys in a row. Cotto is HOF material, and that's a fight that can be made.

Also, I never said Cotto was above Morales or MAB on any ATG list. I just said he was a better fighter. Time will tell how high he finishes on any ATG list. However, I've watched all three fight, and Cotto has more talent then the other two.

pac also fought hector velasquez within those two years. so, that's 6-4 for pac in fights alone compared to pbf.

all in all, pac has fought elite competition 3x within that span compared to pbf's one (dlh). they also fought the same no. of b-level opponents 3-3. so, pac takes this easily.

pbf will inch closer since he's taking on hatton, an elite fighter while pac is only taking on a b-level opponent in d. diaz.

 

It's ok, I don't expect you to agree with me right now. When Cotto's career is over with, he'll be rated higher than Morales and MAB.

 

Damn Right I agree.....Mayweather had no real claim to the championship at 140, they stripped the longtime champion Tszyu of almost all his belts. Mayweather fought Gatti for the WBC trinket to set up a fight with the winner of TSZYU-Hatton but after Hatton won his father said he wasnt ready to fight PBF. I know boxing dude, unlike these fanboys on hear I wont give double standards becuase I fancy one fighter over another.....right is right and wrong is wrong.

 

AT 140, Mayweather was no more than a top contender, but come Dec. 8th they will take care of that unfinished business from 2005 and at 140.

Actually both Castillo and Corrales could be perceived as being greater than JMM who before he himself beat a faded MAB has no big win and his claim to fame is a draw with Pacquiao. I could easily argue that the versions of Corrales and Castillo that PBF beat are better fighters than Morales when he fought Pacquiao. MAB in the first fight with Pacquiao is the best fighter in this scenario overall, but for me, Corrales and Castillo were better than JMM and the version or Morales Pacquiao beat (and lost to). I don't just take their ATG status into account....WHEN they fought matters. And JMM is not an ATG.
