How many stiffs result in complacency? Which fighter do you look at when considering the perfect transition to the paid ranks? FW - seems to drag his fighters out fighting every 4 months compared to Benn 2 decades ago, but you then have a big jump Hennessy - Moves fighters quicker, but they then hit a period of stagnation
Top amateurs shouldn't really need to fanny around with 4 rounders. They should go straight into 6 rounders. Maybe if you have concerns over their stamina you'd give them a couple of 4 rounders to start off with. They should only be in with a stiff for their pro debut. Their early fights should all be learning fights against guys with different styles. Warren gets stick but DeGale and Gavin are being bought along at a decent rate. Gavin's next opponent is wank though. Groves is being bought along very well. Fought Samuels early on, fought a durable Euro guy in Germany, though he did have the odd Eurobum on Maloney's cards. Then he was put in for the C'wealth title cos they knew he was ready for it. No need to hand around and pad the record.
