Mate, if everyone identifies as being a bum then this whole problem would be sorted. Let's start with you.
truth! The old mayweather and k bro fanboys used to do this all the time. Dog an opponent, when up them after the win.
It's the ying/yang weirdos on the forum. When one of these ****ing guys detects a fighter on the forum (s)he believes is receiving too much credit, this sicko seeks to redress the balance. But not enough for this doyen of madness is it to point out to those making this perceived mistake that they are overestimating their man, oh no, rather they seek to undermine the very pillars upon which this high rating sits; this poster sets out to redress an imagined balance by making the fighter in receipt of the boost by dramatically underrating that fighter. They feel that because the fighter is being dramatically over-valued, by dramatically undervaluing him they restore some sort of cosmic balance. In the diseased imaginings of this forum acolyte's dreams they see this: This content is protected When what we read is this: This content is protected Personally, I'd like to see it rendered a banning offence but due to "traffic" and "cost effective data-mining requirements" we're not allowed.
Yes, but... there's a difference between those guys who were typically trying to sell something, either themselves or a fight and critcally have earned the right to do so by virtue of stepping up themselves and fans who are seeking to degrade someone's efforts.
This is a particular pet peeve of mine. I also find it inanely boring when any fighter outside of a weight divisions top 5-10 is called a bum. This seems to be done by posters who clearly only watch fights at the top level of boxing, and therefore do not have an understanding or respect of levels. They are obviously missing out on the many great, competitive fights that take place around the world in the numerous non-elite levels of the sport. Many of which contain a regional rivalry which can add extra spice to the proceedings. Normally, this would not bother me. However, many of the posters who partake in this are the ones who claim that they are experts of boxing and that other posters DKSAB (a massively overused and exaggerated initialism). It would be like me only ever watching the Superbowl, yet claiming I am an expert on football, and anyone who disagrees is a fool.
Calling fighters bums and cowards really does **** me right off!!!! Back in my youth I did plenty of heavy sparring rounds where the coach had to intervene to stop the spar turning into a no holds barred punch up. The next sparring session, I'd be fully aware that the likelihood of getting in the ring with the same guy who only a few days ago, was trying to take my head off and visa versa took some balls. These guys that we have a tendency to denigrate are trained and conditioned to a whole notha level and could in all probability kill one of us mere mortals with a single blow, and at the top level, they have 36 minutes of likely sheer hell to endure to claim victory. I **** on Wilder at every opportunity because he's full of **** and a bit of a fraud as champions go but, I wish him no ill and just wish he would back up his words with actions. Fury is full of **** and contradicts himself every other interview but, again, he in the main backs up his words with action and I ultimately respect the guy for his achievements and accomplishments. Eubank Jnr this weekend got a career best win and was mightily proud of himself as a result and yet, I've lost count of the number of keyboard warriors that have pissed all over his finest hour. Strange times we live in
