Proper boxing fans don't really care, i mean i like to see a fighter from the uk do well but most of the time i just support fighters whose style i like or i have money on:good
Stieglitz and Tajbert are fighting for Germany by their own admissions and have German citizenship, same with Pascal but with Canada.
If you put all the European countries together, Europe does dominate. But it's more about the bigger weights where Europe calls the shots. Europe delivers almost no boxers under the WW limit, simply because Europeans are a lot bigger than that. Ukraine (6) Germany (3) UK (3) Russia (2) Poland (1) Romania (1) Serbia (Yugoslavia) (1) Slovenia (1) = Europe 18
Maybe Europe don't dominate the lighter weights because they don't have the big punch power, and the fight is more likely to go to the cards, Maybe.:think
I dont think europeans are dominating boxing anyways but why should people give a **** about which group dominates boxing.it should be irrelevant to real boxing fans
I agree that us boxing fans shouldnt give a **** about whos dominating what, but there are certain "Euro" posters here who claim Europe is dominating boxing...I wont say any names, you know who you are
Europeans clearly aren't dominating, but they are more successful than they ever have been. That's probably why people mistakenly assume that they are dominating, because the US has lost ground while Europe has improved.
Puerto Rico for being such a small population have put out a great % of great fighters. More than expected from such a small area.:good
